Happiness is on the Horizon

 Donnie and Miranda were still up in the clouds about the propsal and things and Miranda couldn't believe that it was all happening and in such a magical way. Donnie was looking at her." I don't know who you are gonna ask but I know I am gonna have Danny and the guys stand up with me. Iam gonna ask Danny to be my best man." Donnie said to her as they walked hand in  hand around the zoo till the dinner and things were ready. Miranda smiled well I know I am gonna have Amy be my Matron of honor, but  we might have to let her dress out a little bit who knows how far along she will be by then. Miranda said giggling as she remembered Donnie telling her about it right after the proposal. Donnie smiled. Yeah Iam happy for them, Apparently though al lthe kids are worried about Amy though cause her age. I mean me and the guys are in our 50's and Amy is in her mid 40's so it is risky but I also know Danny will take great care of her. MAybe a little to much sometimes." Donnie said laughing."And Oh yeah by the way. I made you an appointment with a salon so you can get special treatment for our special night here at the zoo. And I have one too...cause this is a dressy occasion, Donnie said smiling. Miranda's face lit up." Oh wow! I think I might like to get dressed up  but not have to do much of the work and letting someone else taking care of it for once. Thank you baby....I feel like a queen."  Donnie grinned again and stopped and looked into her eyes." Baby, dont' you see? You ARE a queen, MY queen and you deserve so many wonderful things in your life and I want to be the one to give you all I can. At least I hope I can."  Miranda had watery eyes, "Donnie and you are my King and you already do take  really good care of me and we both didn't have the best time in life  and  I promise that I am not gonna treat you like your ex did...Iam gonna love you and cherish you and make sure you are taken care of the right way. I can't wait to grow old with you." Donnie was the one that had tears this time." You already take great care of me, I love you so much.More then you can ever imagine."  Donnie kissed her softly. "Well it looks like the zoo is starting to fill up so we better go and get ready....and they are gonna be closing the zoo so that we can have it all to ourselves for tonight....cause ther eare gonna be so many special surprises my love. So I will drop you off at the salon everything you need is already there I made sure of that. And I will go get ready, and the limo will be there to pick you up after your appointment and bring you right back here to me. I can't wait to see you." Donnie said smiling as they finished looking at the animals and then left. Donnie dropped her off at the salon. Miranda went in and  told them who she was and they gave her a glass of wine, and a bouquet of flowers that Donnie had sent. The front desk receptionist smiled. Congratulations and your stylist Vanessa will be with you in a few minutes. Please have a seat over there and enjoy your drink while you wait and if you need anything please just ask."  Miranda looked around she couldn't believe how ritzy this place was.This is the kinda place she had only read about or seen in movies....but never thought she would be living it. She sank down in the comfy chair and enjoyed her wine and listend to some music while she waited. A short time later, Vanessa came to her. " Are you Miranda? " Vanessa asked smiling."Yes Iam, Hi!" Hi Ima Vanessa and I will be the one taking care of you and pampering you today so  first thing we are gonna do is  give you a massage  and a facial and then we will go on from there, you are gonna be taken care of today." Vanessa told her smiling." Wow, thats great...I don't evwen know what I have in store today here." Miranda said looking around at everything."You're finace made sure he had everything covered. SO for the next few hours you belong to us. Here is the room and here is the robe. I need to you go into the dressing room and  get into the robe. You can put your clothes into the bag sitting on the bench in dressing room cause you can take them with you later. You won't beneeding those again today we have all new things for you." Vanessa said as Miranda walked in the dressing room." Great thank you." Vanessa smiled" Once you are done just hop onto that table over there and  we will get  everything going for you." Vanessa replied. Once Vanessa left the room to go get some of the things she needed for the massage and facial Miranda got undressed and put the robe on then went out and got onto the table and laid down to get ready for her pampering. Soon Vanessa came back in and had Miranda take her robe off and lay on her stomach for the massage and then covered her up with a sheet. Soon She started the massage, once the massage was all done she  had Miranda get the robe back on and gave her a facial as she was getting a facial she was also going to get a manicure and pedicure at the same time. She was getting full Vip treatment. Meanwhile Donnie got to the tux store and got his  tux that he had bought. He was getting some vip treatment as well. He really hoped Miranda was enjoying her spa day till he got to see her later that day. After he got his stuff done the zoo called him and went over some final details with him about everything he wanted done. Once Miranda got done with her facial and manicure and pedicure, they finished that up and then she went and sat in a chair for them to do her hair.They did her hair into a wonderful updo. And then they did her make up as well. Once that was finished they took her to an entirely different room and they brought in a dress bag and undid the zipper and inside was a beautiful Navy blue Formal dress adorned with Cubic zerconias it was a one shoulder strap Dress. And it went to the floor. And there was a shoe box with some beautiful shoes to go with it. They asked Mirand to get into that dress and shoes once she did the ladies helped her to straighten it out and make it look good. Then they handed her a box with a note. She opened the note and read it. It was from Donnie. The Note read: Dearest Miranda you are the love of my life and deserve so many wonderful things. I hope that you like what i have done for you and inside this box is something that shows how much more I love you and they should match your dress just fine. I love you...I cant wait too see you very soon." Miranda was ontop of the world with that. She opened the box and inside was a beautiful Necklace, with matching earrings and bracelet to help complete things. She also had a little clutch purse to go with it. She admired herself in the mirror and  couldn't believe the person standing infront of her was actually her. She thought she was in a dream. What wonderful things had she done to deserve this wonderful treatment? She couldnt' wait to see Donnie's face. Meanwhile.... Donnie  got all the final touches done on his end. He made sure the photographer was on time and literally EVERYTHING was in its place. Once that was done he stood at the the tent he had set up for their wonderful night and waited for Miranda to arrive. Once Miranda was all done the spa staff made sure she got into the limo and saw her off she was on her way to the zoo to see Donnie. AS she drove she looked at her ring and couldn't believe this was all happening cause wow , if this was how the engagement started out then how was the wedding gonna be. After about 20 minutes the limo pulled up to the curb and  Donnie's son Elijah  stepped up and let her out."Come on Miranda, we can't keep dad waiting." Miranda took his arm with one hand and held her dress up with the other. Elijah led her to a tent, she walked in and there were candles and flowers. And she looked over and Donnie had his back to her. Once  he turned around. His heart melted and he had a really big smile. "Oh my...Oh wow.... baby.... you look so beautiful...Look at you." he said in a soft whisper. Miranda smiled." And you are so handsome my love." Donnie pulled her close into a huge hug and then kissed her cheek."There are so many wonderful things in store today baby." Donnie led her to a table."WE are gonna have dinner first then we will go from there." Donnie poured her some champagne and then they clanked glasses and he toasted them. Soon the night was off to a wonderful and romantic start.
