Chapter Nineteen - Hot and Cold

When passing the Dragon palace, Kong turned around in reflex and froze instantly, suddenly he seemed to watch a flashback scenes that appeared and disappeared in front of him.

Kong could see a green dragon and white snake flying together in the middle of the clouds, then seeing the image of him was blowing a flute in the garden while Arthit dancing with his sword, seeing the him and Arthit were bathing together in a pond, and lying side by side under a cherry tree, as if everything is real, but suddenly it disappears.

Kong frozen with an astonished expression and wondered what all that meant.

"Kong?" suddenly he heard a familiar voice calling his name in the distance.

Kong turned at the voice and was surprised to see Namtan and immediately flew down towards her. The girl dropped a basket of flowers in her hand while staring at him straight in expression of disbelief.

"Namtan..." he called as stopped in front of the girl.

Namtan observing Kong's body that looked transparent for a moment, then brought her hand to touch Kong's face, but her fingers seemed to touch an empty air, and then she tried to touch Kong's chest and her hand passed through the man's body.

Namtan widened her eyes in shocked. "Am I dreaming?" she asked.

Kong shook his head and replied. "No, it's really me, but I'm not come in person, Arthit sent my consciousness to reach out for you..." he explained.

"Arthit?" Namtan asked in surprised. "Does he also come with you?"

Kong nodded. "He will be here soon..."

Namtan scanned around for a moment and returned to Kong, then asked. "How did you come here?" she confused.

"Er...that's long story...but I'm happy to see you again..." said Kong, then went silent, even though he has a lot of words to tell and ask the girl, but now he can't think of anything.

Kong did not understand, even though he have been waited for three years, hoping to see the girl again, but when they met now, the feeling seemed turned awkward.

They exchanged the glance for a while and were silence.

"So, how are you doing?" asked Namtan to break the silent.

Kong startled. "I'm fine..." he answered nervously. "How about you? Are you happy to be in here?"

"Of course, I'm very happy to be back here..." replied Namtam while smiling, but then her expression changed. "But this place has changed since 500 years ago...now it's leaving only memories, everyone has gone..."

"I thought Sarawat has sent some demons back here..." Kong asked and confused. "You didn't meet them?"

The girl told him that only demons who did not commit crimes in the world were allowed to return to this palace, while the other demons had to receive punishment in prison until they paid off all their bad karma.

"If I was sent back here, I will certainly will be put in the prison for eternity for the crimes I had committed..." Arthit suddenly interrupted and descent to join the two.

Namtan froze instantly and looked at him straight without blinking.

Arthit smiled broadly at her and asked. "Have you forgotten me?"

"Arthit?" Namtan called him softly and her eyes looked teary, she could not believe that she could see Arthit again, so she ran to hug the guy, but forgot that she could not touch him and fell.

"Namtan!!!" Kong exclaimed surprised, he wants to help the girl, and hate because he couldn't.

A moment later, Namtan wiped her tears and get up by herself, then turned to look at the two with a smile.
