Part -7

Avni turned in the bed to see her husband smiling at her. She was still not able to digest the fact that how did she get so lucky  to get a husband like Neil. She smiled her widest smile and this time from her heart and snuggled into his naked chest. She clearly remembered that day when she felt that her life was completely ruined. She thought that he would hate her enough to never see her face. But,she was wrong. Neil Khanna is a man of his words. Her father had made a lot of wrong decisions in his life. But, Neil was one of his best decisions.

Flashback..

Neela: Neil..

Neil silenced her with his palm.

Neil: Aap jis kaam ke liye aayi thi, vo kijiye. You can take Avni with you.

Avni dropped to the floor listening to this. Tears made their way out of her eyes but she didn't bother to wipe them.

Everything was finished!

That's what she thought but...

Neil: And make sure ki aap meri biwi ke dimaag mein koi gand na bharein. Keep your insecurities to yourself please.
He said and turned towards Avni. He helped her stand and cupped her face.

Neil: I'll pick you up in the evening,ok. We will talk after that.
He wiped her tears and walked away.

She was shocked with the polite tone that he used with her. Guilt eating her insides. She grabbed her clutch and  without looking at her mother she walked out.

Neil kept his promise and came to pick her. He talked to her father like nothing happened in the morning. She was confused seeing his behavior. They bid their goodbye.

At night,Neil was sitting on the couch waiting for Avni to come. She stepped out of the washroom and looked at him. He looked into her eyes and crossed his arms over his chest.

Neil: I want truth Avni. Just truth.
He said in a no nonsense manner.

Avni looked here and there. She sighed and sat on the couch with enough distance between them. She told him everything. From her childhood, till date. Her parents fake relationship. Her father's deeds. Her mother's helplessness. She told him every single thing. She was crying by the end of it.
