The morning after Allison's death the preacher calls everyone together. He holds up his hands towards the crowd."Today we come together to honor the life of Allison Blanche."
I look around and see many people are crying. I choke back a discussed laugh. These people make me sick. Pretending they actually cared about Allison. The hard truth was that she was a low class citizen and no one besides Allison's parents, Todd and I truly knew and cared about her. These people where probably just crying because the wolf was near again. And their lives where in danger once more.
I leaned against Todd, trying no to cry. The grave digger roughly dropped the casket in the deep hole. I bit my tongue so I don't yell at him.
I know I have to accept the fact that she was gone. I would never see one of my best friends again. Never again would we gossip of the council members or talk about boys. I focused on my breathing hoping I could hold it together. I started crying, and soon I would loss it. Before I did Todd toke my hand and squeezed it. Silently telling me it would be alright.
I look at him and smile. Thank the lord I have Todd. We all stand there honoring Allison until the service ends.
As I walk away people stare at me with hate in their eyes. No one has the guts to say anything, but I came feel the blame and hatred in the air around me.
. . . . . . . .
Two days later.
. . . . . . . .Another day of working has me drained. I sluggishly move towards the bed. Beginning to drift off into sleep.
A howl pierces the air.
Suddenly I'm wide awake, I jump towards my open window. Quickly as I can I reach my window and close the shutters. Relief fills me and allows me to breathe. I press my back to the wall. Wondering if there really was a howl. At that moment something burst through my door. (Literally)
I shield my eyes just in time. I look up and see Allison. She is just starring at me. Her eyes glowing bright yellow. Her once rosy cheeks are pale. She is completely covered in dirt and blood."Help me, Luna"
She asked in a helpless tone. I have no idea why she called me Luna. How is she here I saw her dead body with my own eyes.
"H-How are you alive?"
My voice barely above a whisper. She looks at me and repeats herself.
"Help me, Luna."
She says, but this time with a inhuman growl. I get up and reach out help her. She growls louder and angrier. I see she has fangs and jump back.
Allison falls to the ground. She screams out in pain. Her bones turn and break. She is changing into a animal in front of my eyes. A brown wolf.
Her eyes are still yellow. I am not scared at all. Any normal person should be screaming for help right now. Instead I feel calm but scarred for Allison's sake.
"Run! Get out of here!"
She obeys, running outside and into the woods. I get outside and look around to see if anyone saw Allison. Everyone has there shutters drawn in. They are scarred and should be. They have a werewolf on their hands.
