(Todd)
I wake to a knock at my door. Wondering who would be up this late. Maybe it was Mary coming to apologize for sneaking out to the woods with some guy. Why couldn't she see that I have always been their for her. Never judged her when everyone else did. I know she is the only girl for me. Whoever that guy was he was very lucky. He better hope I don't find out who he is. He'll be in for a unpleasant surprise.

I open the door and find surprisingly Sterling Pendragon, sadly not Mary.

"What do you want?"
I ask. There is fear in his eyes. I wonder what the werewolf hunter could be afraid of.

"Mary is in danger."

"How do you know this?"

He looks down but keeps his face blank. He is probably a skilled liar. I know anyone who hunts werewolves isn't in their right mind. But if Mary is in danger I have no choice but to trust him.

"What kind of danger? Is it life and death. Or-"

It hit me all the sudden. The way she looked at Sterling when he first came here. I thought I was being ridiculous for being jealous. I guess apparently not. She had been in the woods with him. I'm so mad I could punch him, but I don't think I'll win that fight.

"You have been stalking her. Lord that's creepy."

"None of that matters now. She was accused of hitting A child over the head. His name is Sammy. He said she hit him and then he died."

I am speechless. I know the villagers hate her because the wolf spared her, but I have never thought they would take it as far as killing her. No they are not going to kill her.

"No, we need to get to her where is she?"
I asked trying to keep the panic out of my voice. He says nothing and starts walking away. Confused I follow him silently. What is this guys problem? We walk towards the physicians office. We had to get her out of there. Sumner McKenna is a mad man. He hasn't been the same since his father passed. I'm sure he will find some way to blame Mary.

Im so lost in thought I run strait into a cart. Thankfully nothing falls over. I run my hand through my hair. Lord that was close. I let my arm fall to my side. In the process of doing this I hit a pan in the cart and everything comes crashing down. Sterling rolls underneath the stairs just as the physician doors open. Oh crap.

. . . . . . . . . . .
(Sterling)
I sit under the porch making no sound. I hear footsteps above my head. I don't even dare to look afraid I'll make a sound.

Instead I have to watch this buffoon which they call Todd. He stands there in horror. I want to yell at him for blowing our cover. I have never met such an clumsy and loud person before. Even my fellow hunters who were twice the size of him could keep quiet.

"What do you want boy?"
A very mad voice says above my head. I hold my breath.

"There is a woman buy the well saying she's got sharp pains in her stomach. You better come she's bleeding a awful lot."

The voice above me grumbles something, all I could catch from that was damn woman. Todd looks up to him then pleads.

"Please hurry."

"Yeah, yeah let me get my things."
The physician disappears inside the house. I would tell Todd good job, if he hadn't messed up in the first place. Todd walks near the porch and whispers.

"When you find her take her somewhere safe. These people will not listen to reason when it comes to her."

"I will."

I answer back automatically.

He starts walk away then turns. Looking really sad.

"Oh, can you also tell her that I'm sorry. She'll understand."

I look at Todd and nod. He must care about her to risk his skin for her. The door above me opens and I hear footsteps.

"Let's go."

I wait tell Todd in the physician are out of sight. Then I crawl out from my hiding spot. I open the door and find the room dark. There is something in the corner, I squint and see that it is Mary. She is knocked out and tied up. Anger rushs through me. How can the people treat such a girl as her this way. They are more stupid than I originally thought. I keel down and take out my knife to untie her hands. She starts to stir than opens her eyes. She looks so afraid. I hurt as if her pain is my own. She stares at my knife. She must Think I want to hurt her. For a moment he eyes glow red. I gasp no that's not possible she can't be. I would have known. The ropes that bind her snap as if they were twigs.

"Mary it's alright."
I say in a gentle tone, trying to calm her down. I know it will happen if she gets any more upset.

"Sterling?"

She calms down and her eyes turn their usual sweet milky brown color.

"It's alright. I'm here now."

I place my hands on the sides of her head but she winces back in pain.

"I hit my head that's how they got me. It's hurts so much, I can barely move."

"Shh, It's okay. Can I carry you?"

She nods with tears in her eyes. I can't tell if its physical pain or emotional but I just want to make her feel better. No one is pretty as her should bed this sad. I pick her up gently, and start to walk out towards the door.

I hear a familiar sound. The sound of a cross bow loading.

"Stop right there or I'll kill her."

A small but fierce looking figure stands to the side of me.
I pull Mary tighter against me. This woman doesn't know it yet but she's about to die.
