He wants to hunt the werewolf?

If he thinks he can take on a wolf, possibly two be my guest. He will surly die. It is such a waste I thought sadly.

Todd stands beside me his body rigid and his fist clenched. I know more than anyone how much he hates werewolves. Though he would never admit it. I know he saw the werewolf in the woods when we were children. He hasn't spoken of it to anyone not even me.

Todd and I this sort of unspoken agreement. I didn't push him to tell me about the wolf. He didn't push me about my parents deaths. Sometimes I wonder if Todd knows who the werewolf is.

Marcel raised his eyebrows in surprise. He quickly regained his serious demeanor. Then he asks Sterling wearily.

"What do you expect in reward?"

"My services are free but my men require 40 gold coins."

"The council will have to discuss this privately. You will have your answer by dinner. In the meantime make yourselves comfortable. She will show you to your chambers."

I freeze up as Marcel points at me. I'm used to getting the worst jobs but serving them seems horrid. Sterling is they only good looking one. After him each of his men looked uglier than the first. Most likely they acted as they look but I decide to give them a chance. Before I go to lead them Todd grabs my for arm. He whispers so only I hear him.

"Don't trust them anyone who hunts werewolves is not in their right mind."

I nod and he relaxes a little. I walk over to them but avoid Sterling's eyes. I fear if I do I'll lose all senses. Or say something incredibly stupid.

I lead them to the more wealthy part of our village. The houses are here are made of stone and are nicer than where I live. I feel Sterling's eyes on me, I try to ignore him.

I curtsy and turn to leave. Then I remember what I suppose to tell them. I turn to Sterling and quickly and add.

"If you need anything else just ring that bell twice."

I point at the medium size bell that hangs from the door. I turn to leave but it is Sterling's voice that tells me to stop.

"What is your name?"

"Mary Andrea "

"What a beautiful name, fitting for such a beautiful lady."

My face heats up for some stupid reason. I silently curse at myself. He takes my hand then bends down and kisses it. I feel invisible sparks mark where he kissed my hand. Lord I wish he would kiss me again. He drops my hand sending me back into reality. I say nothing and feel my face begin to heat again. Before I embarrass myself anymore I curtsy and leave.

Todd is right where I last saw him. Talking to his mother. Todd seems upset about whatever they're discussing. I can tell his mom is warning him about something. I start to walk towards my dwelling. Not wanting to interrupt them. Todd spots me and start running in my direction. His mother yells at him.

"She will be your destruction!"

He ignores her keeping his face blank. I let him believe I didn't hear her.

"Let's go get me a door."

He laughs dryly. I can't help but wonder what they were talking about. I don't ask him because I already I know the answer. They were talking about me.

Many people have said trouble follows me like a shadow. That is yet another reason why I am outcast. I just hope Todd doesn't come to think me a outcast too.
