(Mary)
Did she just say she's going to kill me? Instead of being afraid I'm just Furious. At the moment I can't do anything about it because it hurts to move an inch. The throbbing pain in my head makes my surroundings blurry. I am however completely aware of Sterling's arm around me. Every time I breathe in I smell leather and the fresh wood. Those smells wouldn't normally smell good, but they do on him. Making me like him even more.

He growls at Louise, my vision slowly starts coming back to me. I see she holds a crossbow.

"You just made a deadly mistake foolish human."

Human? As opposed to what? I stare at him in confusion. He sets me down so fast the worlds a blur. He runs at her I can barely see him he's a blur, but this time I know it's not from hitting my head.

Louise pulls the trigger aiming at his heart. I scream and crawl back, bumping a lump near the wall. I recognize the lump as Sammy. The boy I couldn't save. To my relief Sterling catches the arrow in mid air. He and snaps it in half.

"Werewolf!"
Louise screams running for the door. Sterling is in front of her before she takes two steps.

"You are a creature of hell and you shall burn! She shall burn with you!"

She thinks I'm a werewolf. She's ever crazier than her husband. I think I would notice it I was a bloody wolf. I tell myself but then I remember earlier tonight. She is right I am a monster. I am a creature of hell.

"Shut up!"
Sterling yells pushing her to the ground. He turns into a huge black wolf before my eyes. His teeth are showing. He pounces on her sinking his jaw into her neck. She stops screaming and her eyes roll back.

I am so afraid but I still can't stand. I stare horror as Sterling changes back to his human form. He looks shameful and he should. I still can't believe he just killed her. Of course she deserved it but you can't just go kill people. I wasn't going to tell Sterling that though. He might put me on his kill list next.

"I-I'm sorry you had to see that. I don't know what came over me."

What came over him? He's a killer werewolf! He's probably the same werewolf who turned Allison. I don't say anything.

"I have to get you out of here. Please let me help you."

I don't protest, still in shock. He carries me to the stables, and stops at his fire colored horse.

"We will have to ride separate horses. It will be quicker that way."

He hands me the reins to his horse. I'm surprised, I give him a questioning look.

"Finn is the fastest horse I've ever ridden. If something happens I want you to get away."

I am honored by his sweet gesture, but that doesn't erase what he's done. I still don't trust him.

He grabs a black horse. I repress a snort. How ironic how he chooses a black horse to match his wolf. He helps me up on my horse. Finding my voice I say.

"Where are we going?"

He smiles sadly at me, then says.

"I have no idea but someplace safe and away from here."
He gets up on his horse and turns to me.

"We have to leave now.i'm sorry you couldn't say goodbye to Todd. He told me to say he was sorry."

He says shortly and then we take off galloping. I feel like my heart is being ripped from my chest. I look back for a moment at the only sort of home I've ever known. I won't miss this place, but I will miss Todd. I turn back around focusing on the road. Letting tears fall freely. I was ready for a new beginning. Even if the thought of never seeing Todd again made me want to throw up. I was going to strong because I have to be.
