Sara's Point of View
"I'm going to check the situation on Jaeger." I told Levi, who was swinging beside me in the air. His steel eyes narrowed, but he continued looking ahead.
I didn't wait for his reply and changed course immediately, making my way to the boulder where a ripped titan was leaning against. I see a blonde boy—or maybe a girl—stomping on the nape of it while screaming at him to wake up. I carefully landed beside the cadet, noticing the brown and white uniform he was wearing. "Is this the Jaeger kid?" I ask.
His panicked blue eyes turned to me, his body jumping in fright when he heard my voice. Managing a nod, I noticed that he gulped rather obviously and looked away. "H-he's still trying to control his titan form, and he's unconscious right now." He answers.
Pouting, I looked over my shoulder to see Levi still fighting against the titans near the gate. If we could clear the path towards it, and minimize the titans coming in from the outside, it will be easier for Jaeger to seal it with the boulder. Only, that plan will never work if the key is still asleep with his ass on the ground. "Is his human body inside the titan, or does his actual body grow into titan height when he transforms?" I ask.
"From what I remember, we managed to pull him out of the nape when he first transformed, but that was because it was already opened." His voice is still shaking when he replied to me. I can tell that he's a part of the new batch of graduates in the military. My eyes turned back down to the space of Jaeger's nape.
"There is a certain part of the nape that won't kill him as a titan." I grabbed his left hand and guided it to the spot before using my other hand to put the other blade parallel to the first one. "You should be able to get him out and snap him conscious once you open him up. But we need you to act fast. More of the Garrison are dying by the second."
His cheeks turned deep red at the skin contact, so I quickly pulled away from him once his hands were set on the handles of his gear. I took out a fresh pair of blades from my own and rolled my shoulders, feeling them pop and release tension from my muscles. "Good luck, kid."
With that, I zipped away from the titan and returned to Levi's side. Just in time, a titan was coming for his back while he was in the air, so I took it out for him before he could maneuver himself around it. We both landed on a rooftop at the same time, our boots ripping a few burgundy tiles. "Jaeger's unconscious, but another cadet's working on it." I said. "I think he's one of the new ones."
"Killing these shits won't do good if he's just lying around there." Levi grumbles.
"Since the Garrison is trying to draw as many titans as they could at the corner of the walls, I say we regroup with our squads and focus more at the gate. That way, we can keep watch around Jaeger's location too."
"I'll find my squad, you deal with yours."
Levi leaves before I could put another word in. There goes the cold and heartless corporal of the Survey Corps. Sighing, I zipped towards the eastern part of the district and found Gil and Hans fighting together. When they spotted me going for them, I signalled them to the wall where the gate was positioned using my blades. I landed on the roof where they were. "Change of plans. We're guarding the gates and keep as less titans to enter as possible. Where are Midas and Erica?"
"Last I saw them, they were near the fountain plaza." Hans points to our side with his blades. "Do you need help, Captain?"
"No, I'll go for them. Meet with Squad Levi at the gate immediately. Listen to Corporal's orders until I return."
"Roger that!"
They both left for the gates while I made my way to the plaza. There were a few more titans lurking in there than the rest of the places in Trost, but I managed to kill them while trying to search for the two. "Erica! Midas!" I yelled, digging my blades through a 10-meter titan's nape. I dropped down the ground with it and stepped on its hairy head while looking around.
