Sara's Point of View
"I already told you that I don't know anyone named Sara Wisteria." I sighed. "Is it that hard to accept that we just coincidentally had the same first name?"
Being a former citizen of Wall Sina, joining the Survey Corps was basically suicide. Because of corruption and power, the government made it clear that any citizen from Wall Sina are not allowed to join the Survey Corps as it is life-threatening. With that stupid law, if the Military Police finds out about my real name and identity, they have the right to toss me out of the walls and let me die as titan food. It was considered to be a major crime to be a citizen of Sina and join the Survey Corps.
To say the least, it was a stupid rule I didn't bother to care about and broke.
"The Wisteria family has been very adamant on finding Sara Wisteria." Commander Nile sighed frustratingly. Who could blame him? My parents are total assholes and they've been trying to look for me two years ago. They were convinced that I'm still alive after knowing that I'm nowhere to be found in the Underground. "You were the closest lead we could find."
"And that makes me Sara Wisteria?" I feigned a laugh. "You said the girl has black hair, but mine is naturally strawberry blonde."
"Right, we'll be back soon for further questioning. We have other orders to follow." He said. "If you can find anything about her, let me know."
He walks away without another word given to me.
The Military Police really is a pain in the back, especially when you know that they're only following the orders of greedy pigs who know nothing but to care for themselves while thousands are dying in hopes of saving humanity. The system inside the walls are unjust and stupid, and it cares nothing for the lives it was actually keeping in. From what I see, they only stop themselves from feeding us off to titans because they need someone to do all the labor for them.
I turn to head back inside the HQ, stretching my arms up to the sky to let the tension in my muscles pop. My family has been really annoying these days. Family might not be the right term to call them. Maybe meddlers will do. The things they're willing to do just to keep their secrets is beyond me. I haven't got a clue to some of it just yet, but I will stop at nothing to figure it out.
If those things are so important that they want me dead and silenced, then it must be really important that the citizens themselves must know about. The government has been very suspicious since I came back aboveground, after all.
"Captain!"
I stopped walking through the hallway when I heard Erica call for me from behind. Looking over my shoulder, I see her waving at me with a wide smile, the bandage on her left arm looking tightly secured. "Eri, you feeling better?" I ask.
"Of course, Captain! It's just a graze." She grinned while saluting to me, her fist on her heart. "Commander Erwin calls for you. He's in the mess hall with Corporal Levi and Section Commander Hanji."
Great. After one order, there's another. All in the day's work in the Survey Corps.
"Thanks, you should eat lunch too." I say.
"The team and I finished up early for extra training hours." She rubbed the back of her neck shyly. "I didn't want to make the same mistake again, so I asked them to train with me."
Erica's driving force into killing titans? I'd say it's to provide a better life for her family, and for her and Hans's youngest brother to live a normal life for once. Because of that, she trained and improved herself non-stop. Although she may not say it or even try showing it, I know that she feels disappointed of herself when she thinks that I'm disappointed at her. Never will I ever be disappointed in my squad.
