Third Person View

Levi stands atop one of the houses, looking up at the Beast Titan that was commanding the 3-4 meter titans to advance and kill them. The weak cadets were always the first to get eaten, frozen in fear at the sight of the monsters. There is a total of 200 soldiers present for the fight, more than 100 of them were veterans who were saved because of the Special Defense Squad. The rest were new scouts, and they are the ones struggling the most in the fight.

The Beast Titan barely even moved from his spot and a lot of them were already struggling fighting against the small titans. "We'll take care of the ones at the very edge. You go rest and preserve your energy." One veteran told Levi.

He looks at the rest of the veterans launching towards the edge of the houses to clear up the rest of the small titans.

"Tsk, what was that explosion? Did Sara and the others survive? I have to hurry and go to the other side to..."

Levi's thoughts were abrupted when pieces of rocks suddenly blasted through the air. He crossed his arms in front of him and avoided the boulders, gritting his teeth together at the Beast Titan's move. Blood splattered from the front houses, indicating that the veterans were squashed to bits.

"Shit, you guys!" Levi screamed. He brings himself to the front to see if anyone survived, but he quickly dived down a gap between houses to avoid the rest of the rocks that the Beast Titan threw once again. He looks at the flesh and blood spilled from the impact, his scowl growing at the sight of his comrades dying.

He quickly made his way to the other squad in-charge of protecting the horses. "The Beast Titan is throwing boulders! All of you, retreat to the wall with the horses!"

"Roger!"

Another wave of rocks came thrashing on the houses. "Hurry up!"

The cadets quickly grabbed the reins of the horses and ran towards the edge of the wall. As Levi was running, he was stopped when Floch drops down the ground on his knees in fear. "Oi, get your ass up! Do you want to die?!" He grabs his collar and dragged him up to his feet to retreat with the rest of the cadets. Levi meets up with Erwin, who came down from the top of the wall to talk to him. "How's it looking?"

"Terrible. If he keeps on throwing, the houses will be demolished and we won't have anywhere to hide anymore."

"We can't retreat to the other side of the wall?"

"No, the Colossal Titan is already there spreading fire on his path. If we do retreat behind, we will have to leave the horses and we will all die here." Erwin says.

"Did Sara and the others evade the explosion?"

"I don't know, but Sara was too close to the explosion when the Colossal Titan transformed." Erwin sighed. "Chances of her being caught in it is high, but let us hope that she survived that blow."

Levi's grip on his blades tightened. Sara was too close, as Erwin saw himself, but he didn't want to tell Levi that she's dead. The worst he could do if he did is leave his post on the other side of the wall to look for her corpse. Erwin needs Levi to focus on the Beast Titan for their victory.

Even if only a few of them may come back alive, Erwin needs to think up of a plan that will guarantee their win in this fight. "We've been dealt a serious blow. The veterans were wiped out and we have no status on Squad Levi and Squad Hanji. Currently speaking, the only confirmed survivors are the new recruits, Captain Levi, and me."

"Erwin," Levi paused. His cape flapped behind him as another blow of boulders came to slaughter them. "Do you have a plan?"

There was a sudden loud crush from the wall that caught Erwin and Levi's attention. They looked up to see Eren in his titan form, laying lifelessly on top of the inner gate of Shiganshina. "Oi, is that Eren? How the hell did he get himself flung to the top of the wall?"
