"I'm not in the mood for one of your stupid father son talks so just let me go Dad!"

"Duncan why are you even here?"

"I go to college here! Why did you follow me back from home!?"

"I didn't follow you son, I was given a promotion to be here."

"Whatever, just let me out of the way before I slam into your car."

"That would just give you another ticket son."

"Oh so we're playing that game." Just then I drove off leaving my stupid father in the stupid dust. I rushed to the hospital and kicked the door open forgetting that it was automatic.

"Courtney?" I opened the door to see a pregnant woman in the room Courtney was in last time I visited her. "Where's Courtney Barlow?"

"We moved her room to a more serious floor."

"How more serious can it get?" I mumble under my breath. "What floor?"

"Floor 2,"

"Great."

Soon enough I open every single door on floor two until I find a girl with glasses hooked up to an IV.

"Courtney?"

"Who's he?"

"I'm Duncan." I say as I hold her palm. "You're old roommate. We used to fight. And go to places, and take selfies." I started to cry. "Courtney why don't you remember me? We had the best times. You and I— I were friends. But— but— I—," I paused and thought what might happen after I said this. "Courtney Barlow, I love you. And if you don't remember me, then you might never will love me." I showed her the selfie we took before her accident and she looked at it. And kissed me.

"Duncan?"

"Courtney?"

She kissed me again.

"I love you too."

We kissed again before she realized she was hooked up to IV's.

"Why are these things on me?"

"Miss Barlow, you have been cased with skin cancer. But only the slightest bit. We need to get it out before it spreads."

She took a breath and looked at me.

"Only if Duncan promises to stay in the room with me and we become a couple. If not, I would rather die."

"Courtney—,"

"What's you're answer Duncan."

"I choose—,"

"Duncan get out of the room." A voice said from behind me.
