🎈I'm rewriting the oath itself because I wanted to add some stuff 🎈

It was September 1989. It had been almost a month since Bill Denbrough and the other Losers had killed It (or so they thought). Beverly hadn't told the others about what she saw when she was caught in the deadlights, but today, that was exactly what she planned on doing.

The whole Losers' Club was on the grass in the Barrens. Bev was sitting on a log, and the others were in a circle in front of her: Bill, Richie, Eddie, Mike, Stan and Ben.

"What did you want to tell us, Bev?" Ben asked.

Bev sighed, "I want to tell you what I saw when I was floating."

"W...what do you m...mean 'what you saw'?" Bill questioned.

"I was having these...hallucinations. I mean, I can only remember parts of it, but it felt like I was dead," she explained. "That's what it felt like. And I saw us, all of us, together, back in the cistern. But, we were older; our parents' ages."

Everyone was quiet, looking at the ground, except Richie. He, of course, blurted, "Am I still handsome as an adult?"

Then he rested his chin on his hands and squished his face, trying to look cute. The others chuckled and Eddie smiled.

"You grow into your looks," Bev replied with a grin.

"What the f*ck does that mean?" Richie asked. Everyone laughed again.

"What about me?" Stan wondered aloud.

Bev looks sad for a few seconds, and almost sympathetic, before she simply smiled and said, "Like now...but taller."

"What were we all doing there?" Bill asked the question that everyone was thinking.

Bev thought, then responded, "I just remember how we felt - how scared we were. I don't think I could ever forget that," she added.

All of a sudden, Bill stood up, and picked up a piece of broken glass from the ground. He held it in front of him.

"Swear it," he said. "Swear...if It isn't dead, if It ever comes back, we'll come back too."

Bev stood up willingly, followed by the others. Stan seemed rather reluctant, but he didn't want to let his best friends down.

Bill winced as he cut a gash in his own left hand. He turned to Richie, who nodded, then cut his left hand too.

"Ah..." Richie muttered.

He held the back of his hand, trying to numb the pain, as Bill moved to Eddie. Richie patted his best friend on the shoulder as he took the risk of being seen by his mother with a cut on his hand. Eddie's watch beeped and he winced.

Bill moved around the others, cutting the palms of their left hands. Ben, Stan and Mike all hissed and groaned at the pain, but Bev didn't. She simply blinked it away, then looked at Bill and smiled. She took his hand, then the others joined hands too.

'My mom's going to have a fit when she sees blood on my cast, and she's going to kill me if she finds out that it's not my blood, it's Richie's,' Eddie thought, but shrugged it off. He was doing this for his friends. Friendship was more important than anything.

The seven of them all stay connected for about ten seconds, then the let go of each others' hands. This oath would bond these kids, even into their adulthood. It would connect them when they lost touch, and ultimately help them defeat It once and for all.

"I gotta go," Stan said sadly. He looked at Bill. "I hate you."
He had a serious look on his face, but that was changed when a smile spread across it.

"I'll...see you later," he mumbled as he turned around and walked away, into the woods.

"Bye, Stan." said Bill.

Eddie was the next to leave. He turned and hugged Richie.

"Bye guys," he said. Then, he turned and left in a different direction than Stan.

"Bye, Mike." Ben waved at him.

"See you, Losers," Mike added as he left too.

Richie went home, and so did Ben. Soon, it was just Bev and Bill, sitting on the log.

"So, you all packed for Portland?" Bill asked, obviously sad. Bev was leaving and moving to Portland with her aunt after what happened with her dad.

"Yeah, pretty much. I'm going tomorrow morning," she told him.

"How long will you be gone?"

"My aunt says I can stay for as long as I want to, so..."
Bill looked down at the ground, attempting to hide how sad he was that Beverly Marsh was leaving Derry.

"Just so you know, I never felt like a loser when I was with all of you."

Bill's eyes moved from the grass to Beverly's eyes.

"Well, see you around," she said as she got up and started to walk away.

This was Bill's last chance. He had to do this. If Bev left before he told her how he felt, he would never forgive himself. He stood up and ran over to her. He held her arm, leaned in and gently kissed her. When they broke apart, Bev smiled, and kissed him again, her blood-stained left hand on his right cheek.

"Bye," she said finally, and left. Bill managed a small smile.

'I'll see you soon, Bev,' he thought. He would see her again, but after that, he couldn't have been more wrong about his statement...
