Bill ran into his house, and shouted, "Hi Mom, Dad! I'm home!"
"Hi, honey! Come and sit in here with us, we need to tell you something," his mother called from the lounge.
Bill threw his jacket onto one of the coat hooks and was heading to the lounge when the phone rang.
"Want me to get that?" Bill asked, peering around the corner to look at his parents. They were sitting on the couch, holding hands. Sharon Denbrough, Bill's mother, looked like she had been crying.
'Sh*t. What's happened?' he thought.
"Yes please, honey," she said.
Bill walked over to the phone and picked it up, bringing it to his ear.
"Hello, this is B...Bill Denbrough."
"Bill?" came the familiar voice.
"Bev! You kept my number?"
"Of course I did, idiot."
"Did you get our letter?"
"Yeah, I still haven't had one from Richie, though."
She chuckled nervously.
"I don't actually think he's written it yet," Bill laughed. He was so happy to hear her voice again.
"That's Richie, I suppose. How much of their arguing have I missed?"
"Oh, him and Eddie? What do you expect?"
"Fair point."
"Hold on a second, let me write your number down."
"Okay."
Bill grabbed a pen and Bev read the number aloud. He wrote the number in a small notebook.
"Billy, who is it?" Sharon shouted.
"It's just Bev, mum!"
"Okay, sweetie, don't be too long, we need to talk to you!"
"I know!"
"Everything okay?" Bev asked.
"Yeah, my mom and dad have to tell me something, I'll have to go in a minute." He said, rather upset to have to stop talking to Beverly already.
"It's fine, if you have my number, just call me back later," said Bev, sounding just as sad.
"Thanks, I'll talk to you later then?"
"Yeah, and Bill?"
"Yeah?"
"I love the drawing...so much. You're such a good artist."
"Thanks," he smiled. "So, I'll call you back in a bit?"
"Yeah, okay. Bye, Bill."
"Bye, Bev."

Bill hung up the phone, walked into the lounge and sat down on the other couch, opposite his parents.
"What was it you wanted to tell me?" he asked them
"We've been thinking..." his dad began. "Since everything happened, with Georgie...we think we need a fresh start."
"What do you mean?"
"We're selling the house," said his mother.
"What? Why?" Tears started to well up in his eyes.
"We've got so many memories here...some good, some bad. We've decided we need to move away from Derry," she explained.
At that point, Bill was crying.
