Listening to; "Snow White Queen" by Evanescence

A/N: Welcome back! If you're new to this story line, there is already part one, Unknown Destination: (A Marble Hornets Story) Part 1, which I highly recommend first, since, you know... it's the second part of a story lol! But either way, please enjoy!!

Third Person P.O.V

Jay Merrick's life hadn't just turned over on itself; It seemed to be rolling around in a muddy pit.

He was accustomed to the humidity, so in that way, Alabama and the small Arkansas gas station felt similar. Even that normality would soon be lost along an unfamiliar interstate.

'It's for her' He reminded himself, turning away from the green mountains outside his window to unbuckle his seatbelt.

Jay stepped into the still humid gas station, mumbling "Feel like home much?" "No ocean," Noah Maxwell replied, "Besides, have you ever seen Florida mosquitos? They'd step on these." Jay forced a smile as they parted; Noah to the counter, and Jay to the waters.

Noah had been light hearted since they'd left Alabama. Of course he was no stranger to losing a friend. No, Tim Wright was more than a friend; a best friend. Someone who walked through fires to save a near stranger. 'And you didn't save him.' a voice spat in his mind. He shook his head, taking out bottle after bottle from the coolers.

They returned to a grey van, where Vincent Everman gave a nod from the gas pump. He seemed to be faring the worst of all; not sleeping, eating, not even talking much since Alabama.

The duo took their seats, driver and passenger as always. "Alright," Noah began, voice finally showing his tiredness, "So we know where we're going?" "Petersberg, Washington." "Right... We've got a gun with how many shots?" "I brought a few boxes," TJ Schwartz leaned up from the back seat, "So I'd say about 60." "Not that that'll do anything." a pale Xakk Stewart added.

Noah turned in his seat, "Yeah, and about you; What the h**l was that trick you pulled in Indiana?" "It's a simple thing, really," The man sighed, "I have a... connection." "Like Vinny?" Jay asked, looking at the man through the window, putting the pump back. "No, really different," He shook his head, "It's hard to explain." "Yeah, I should say," Noah shook his head, "Tentacles coming out of the ground's a little f**king weird."

Josh Harris opened the door, flopping next to TJ. "Well, we won't starve," He handed her a cheap plastic bag, "Enough stale Hostess surgery goodness to last us a lifetime." Josh was the youngest of their members, and the one who lost his two friends; The disemboweled Austin, and the missing Alana. If Jay could find words, he'd talk to him on the topic. It was, after all, a topic he'd grown too familiar with.

"Should this connection concern me?" Noah continued, drumming his fingers on the wheel, "'Cause it's concerning me right now."

Tap tap tap

Jay jumped as the taps sounded in his ear. He met the gaze of a young man in a black coat and gloves in the humid afternoon, looking in through the window. He signaled to roll it down.

"Don't worry, Noah," the stranger said, "You all have a connection, one way or another." "Who the f**k invited you?" Noah asked with raised eyebrows. Jay shook his head and commented "You know about it." "Of course I do, deadman" He said, straightening up to look around. "Look, I'd love to stay and chat, but there's a van full of murder happy cult members about to pull in the parking lot with you on their radar." "Cult?" Jay asked. The man backed away, "Go to Denver, Colorado. McGregor cemetery, outskirts. There's a guy that will be waiting; Tristan. He's a bit funny, but he's got answers. I'll see you around." And with that, he jogged off against their calls.

Vinny joined them, asking "Who was that guy?" "I don't have a clue," Noah huffed, starting the car, "But let's get out of here. I don't f**k with cults." As they drove out of the parking lot, a plain white van pulled in. Jay knew that whas who he was referring to, just as he knew that this new route would take them even further into harm's way. He only hoped to find Jessica somewhere along the way...
