Chapter 20: Goodbye

————————TIME SKIP————————
————————Y/N POV—————————
I'm in my hospital bed trying to go to sleep.
My dad left to go to home to rest and see my mom. We made a plan that in a week or two I'll get to meet my birth mom, dad said that he didn't want to overwhelm me. Since I just learned that my family that I've been with since I was little is not my real family. Along with that I was stolen from my real family. I hope my birth mom like me and I can fit in. Dad even said if I feel comfortable I can live with them.
As I'm thinking of this my thoughts were interrupted with a emergency noise going off.
I get out of bed and see doctors and nurses running through the halls. In the direction of my uncle.
I make my way to his room I pass by the nurse reception desk and tell the nurse to call my father and tell him to get here. I know something is going on with Itachi. When I get there I see the doctors trying to get his heart to start. Out of nowhere  I feel a hand on my shoulder look up to see my father. Tears start leaving my eyes. Once the doctor leave they say that Itachi has a few minutes left. I nod my head and walk over to the side of his bed and I hold his hand.
I say "It's ok Itachi your gonna be ok."
I try to hold the tears back.
I decide to show uncle all of the good memories we've shared. I say "Itachi look into my sharingan I'm gonna show you something before you go."
He nods his head, I look up at dad and say "You can join as well dad."
He nods his head I activate my sharingan and  take us back to a few years ago.

—TIME SKIP TO THE LAST FLASHBACK—
We see a younger version of myself with Itachi. Walking home we stopped at a market to get ingredients for food. The younger me asks "Dad do you think I can be as grate of a ninja as you?"
Younger Itachi chuckles and says "Of corse you will and you know why?"
Younger me looks at him confused and asks "Why?"
Younger Itachi says "Because your an Uchiha even if you fail me and your mother and I will still be proud of you. As long as you try is all that matters."
Younger me and Itachi get home and after dinner with mom.
They go outside and lay on the grass and look at the stars.
Younger Itachi holding younger me and mom.
The younger me says "I love you mom and dad. Thank you for everything."
They both kiss my younger selfs head.

———————PRESENT TIME——————
I look at uncle to see him have a few tears going down his face.
I hug him and say "I love you uncle even if your not my real dad, you are one of the best. I'll miss you."
He gives me a sad smile.
Dad puts his hand on my shoulder and says "Y/n I'm gonna show Itachi some memories. But you can't see."
I nod my head and say "Ok."
I leave to go to the bathroom while dads showing uncle memories.
I get out of the bathroom to hear the heart monitor go blank.

————————SASUKE POV——————
I show Itachi some memories when I show him the last one. He has tears going down his checks. He looks at me with a sad smile.
He does the forehead poke and says "I'm proud of you Sasuke, Really I am. Now it's my time to go. Tell y/n I'm gonna miss her and I'm proud of who she turned out to be. I couldn't be anymore proud of her."
Then we get back and his heart monitor goes blank and he stops breathing. I close his eyes and say "Goodbye brother we'll miss you."
Then I hear the bathroom door open and see y/n walk into the room. I open my arm and she runs at me and give her a hug while she cries. I start rubbing her back and say "Sshh it gonna be ok y/n." She looks up at me with one of the saddest faces I've ever seen. She says "I'm gonna miss him dad."
I say " We all are gonna miss him."
After a little while of crying she fell asleep in my arms. I pick her up and bring her to her room, while the doctors take care of Itachi's body. After I tuck
y/n into her hospital bed I leave to go and tell Naruto.

————————TIME SKIP————————
I get to Narutos house and knock on the door. Hinata opens the door and says "Oh hello Sasuke is there something you need?"
I say "I need to speak to Naruto is he here? Or is he at his office?"
She nods her head and says "Yeah he's in the living room resting. Come on in."
I walk in and see Naruto sitting on the couch. He sees me and says "Sasuke what are you doing here?"
I say "We need to talk."
He nods his head and leads me to his little office in his house.
Once inside he sits at his office chair while I stay standing.
He asks "What's this about? Is something wrong?"
I sigh sadly "Itachi is dead, I just went into see him and y/n and while we visited him. He knew he was gonna die, y/n was devastated and crying she finally fell asleep crying. I wish to request a funeral ceremony for Itachi."
He looks shocked by what I've said.
He says "What are we gonna do about
y/n?"
I say "I want her to live with me, Sakura and Sarada. But I want to introduce her to them slowly she's going through a lot in these past few days. So for now she'll be staying at the hospital. Then I'll release her from the hospital and bring her home to meet Sakura and Then Sarada."
He nods his head and says "Sound like a plan. I'll setup a funeral for Itachi. Your gonna need to be there for y/n especially during this. I can tell that you want her to get comfort during this travesty. I think Sakura should visit y/n after the funeral. Or you setup something like that for them."
I nod my head and say "Sound like a plan thanks. When will the funeral be ready?"
He thinks for a few seconds and says "Tomorrow."
I nod my head and say "Thanks for this, I really appreciate what your doing."
With that I leave to go home to tell Sakura.

—TIME SKIP TO UCHIHA HOUSE—
I walk through the door and say "I'm home!"
I see Sakura cleaning, she see me and stops and walks over and says "Welcome home. So is everything ok with Itachi?"
I sigh and say "Sakura about that we need to talk about that. But let's talk about it later tonight." She looks confused and just nodded her head meaning ok. I put away all of my weapons. I go to check on Sarada to see if she's asleep since it's late. I look inside her room to see her sleeping peacefully. I close her door and head mine and Sakura's bedroom. When I enter the room Sakura says " Ok now you gotta tell me what's going on." She says with a serious face. I take a deep sigh and say "Ok. Itachi's dead in the hospital. But that's not all, I found Y/n."
When those last words leave my mouth. Sakura look like she was about to cry. I say "She's alive and well. But she's in the hospital. She was the girl we brought back from the fight. She's been through a lot, I think we should bring her home. By that I mean let her live here with us, with her real family."
She says "S-she's alive our baby girl is alive."
Sakura starts crying I hug her to calm her down.
After she calms down I say "So are you ready to meet your lost daughter?"
She nods her head and says "Will she be ok coming into a new household with new people. Everything that has happened to her must've been hard. Now she's got to meet new people that she has to get used to. We will have to introduce her here and to Sarada slowly.
If not she will get scared and overwhelmed."
I nod my head and say "You can probably if you want to since your back on work tomorrow. You can go see her since your there, so when you take a break you can go and see her. Or they might assign you to look after her."
Sakura thinks for a minute and says " Alright I'll try it. I hope recognizes me even if it's been many years."
I say "I forgot Itachi's funeral is tomorrow I'm gonna need to bring y/n to the funeral."
Sakura says "I'll keep a eye on y/n, I'm worried she has been through so much."
I say "Let's get some sleep tomorrow is gonna be a busy and eventful day."
Sakura nods her head and she snuggles into my chest and we both fall asleep.

I'm sorry I haven't made a chapter in a long time I'm sorry.
I've been so busy, I'm trying to update this story, The Lost daughter Y/n Uzamaki story and others.
I know this chapter is bad but the next chapter will be better I promise.
I'll see if I can release it before Christmas.
