Rolling over on my bed, I buried my head beneath my pillow ignoring Remi's incessant call of my name to wake up for school. I pulled over my quilt to cover my pillow over my head, hoping it would muffle my sister's annoying voice but it didn't.

My head was throbbing, I had a splitting headache. And Remi's irritating voice was probably the cause. I felt sick and tired which was very unusual especially during mornings.

I sat up abruptly, immediately cold water was poured on me, drenching my quilt and pajamas. "Are you mad?!"

Wincing in pain after shouting, I gripped my head upon a throb of pain which was an instant reminder of  my headache.

Or are my village people pounding yam on my head?

Remi hissed before replying, "aren't you going to school? Mummy said she'll be dropping you off today." She made her way to the bathroom to return the bowl she used in pouring water on me.

Standing from the bed, I felt dizzy, my vision flickered from being clear and blurry making me stagger a bit. Hurriedly, I gripped the top of the headboard of my bed to prevent me from falling.

"Sister Tobi, are your alright?" I shook my head, not to her question but to clear off my blurred vision.

It helped and I was able to see Remi's face which held a concerned expression.

"Yes, I'm fine you don't have to worr-" a wave of nausea hit me making me palm my mouth, running into the bathroom.

I made it in time and the moment I opened my mouth my vomit rushed into the toilet. Gagging, my head faced the toilet water which was already covered and stained with my disgusting vomit.

Looking at it made me more nauseous so I clasped my eyes shut while I kept gagging to get out the uncomfortable ball which had formed in my throat minutes ago.

When the vomiting had stopped, I spat into the toilet one last time before standing upright then used the back of my hand to clean my mouth.

"Sister Tobi?"

I hummed a response to Remi's call without sparing a glance at her behind me. I reached for the flusher and turned it making water rushing from numerous places in the toilet flush my vomit .

"Are you alright?" Her voice was laced with concern. That was one thing I loved about her; she could be naughty and silly but she never joked with family.

Turning around, I mustered a smile to calm her. "Yes, I am." I nodded slightly. "I'm just feeling a bit under the weather."

"Will you be able to go to school today? Or should I tell Mummy?" She leaned her back on the white tiled wall of the bathroom.

She was in her uniform, a white short sleeved shirt and a maroon colored pinafore stopping just below her knee with her school's  logo on the left breast of the uniform. It fitted perfectly, not too tight or too big, just perfect and smart.

I shrugged, "it really nothing. I went to the sickbay of my school yesterday and the nurse said I was just reacting to something I ate."

"Maybe you should tell mummy. She could give you some drugs." She suggested.

"Who needs drugs?" Mum appeared at the doorway, a confused frown on her face.

"Sister Tobi is sick."
