"How're things?" Sirius asked them, as Crookshanks attempted to put his face close to Sirius, despite the heat.
"Not that good, the ministry's pushed through another decree, so we can't have quidditch teams" Harry said.
"Well when life gives you lemons make lemonade. Or in your case a secret defense against the dark arts club" Sirius said, shocking the others.
"You know what when life gives you lemons don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want these damn lemons! What the hell are these for?! Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give (Y/n) (L/n) lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down... with the lemons!" (Y/n) ranted as the others stared at him as though he was insane, which in their defense he probably was.
"Well then..." Hermione said stunned.
"How'd you know?" Harry asked Sirius, occasionally glancing at (Y/n) looking concerned.
"You want to chose your meeting places more carefully next time. The Hog's Head" Sirius said scoffing.
"Well it was better than the three broomsticks" Hermione snapped defensively "that's always packed with people-"
"- meaning you'd be harder to overhear" Sirius said with a smile.
"Who overheard us?" Harry asked.
"Mundungus" Sirius told him.
"Why was he at the Hog's Head?" Hermione asked.
"Keeping an eye on Harry"
"I'm still being followed?" Harry asked surprised and angry at this news.
"Yeah you are, and a good thing too as the first thing you do is create an illegal defense group"
"I'd prefer to think we're a cult, not a group" (Y/n) piped up.
"Well I've got a message for you Ron, your mother says that on no account are you to take part in an illegal secret Defense Against the Dark Arts group. You will be expelled for sure and your future will be ruined-" Sirius said in an extremely bored tone.
"Remember Ronald, if you put one more toe out of line..." (Y/n) said in a surprisingly accurate imitation of Mrs. Weasley.
"She also advise you three not to take proceed with the club, although she admits she has no authority over you." he turning to (Y/n) "Also your dad has a message for you"
Sirius cleared his throat. "He is one hundred percent behind you, and his only concern is that he can't be there to help you, and he advises you not to light too many fires."
"Good old dad" (Y/n) muttered.
"The two of them would have written this to you, but if the owl was intercepted you'd be in real trouble, and Molly would have told you in person but she is on duty tonight."
"On duty doing what?" Ron asked eagerly.
"Stuff for the Order, it doesn't matter" Sirius said brushing him off.
"So you want me to say I'm not going to take part in this?" Asked Ron.
"Me? Of course not, I think it's an excellent idea!" Sirius said.
"You do?" Harry said.
"Of course! You think your father and I would've taken this lying down?"
"But last term you told me to lay low and not take risks-"
"Harry, last year all the evidence pointed to someone inside of Hogwarts trying to kill you. This year we know that someone is outside of Hogwarts, that wants to kill us all" Sirius said impatiently. "The best thing to do is to learn to defend yourselves."
"But what if we get expelled?" Hermione asked nervously.
"Hermione this whole thing was your idea!" Harry said staring at her.
"I know but I was just wondering what Sirius thought"
"Well it's better to be expelled and able to protect yourself, than being 'safe' in school without a clue" Sirius told them.
"Hear hear!" Ron and Harry said in unison.
"So how are you organizing this group? Do you have a place to meet?"
"That's the problem, we don't exactly have a place yet" Harry said.
"What about the shrieking shack?" Sirius suggested
"Hey that's an idea!" Ron said enthusiastically.
"Too small" (Y/n) said thinking back to third year.
"Well I'm sure you'll think of something" Sirius said "there used to be a pretty roomy secret passage behind that mirror on the fourth floor, there might be enough room to practice jinxes"
"Fred and George said it's blocked, caves in or something" Harry told him.
"Well I'm sure you'll think of something, I'll think for a bit and get bac-" Sirius suddenly stopped and looked sideways into the fireplace.
"Sirius?" Harry asked anxiously. Suddenly a stubby band appeared in the fire. (Y/n) grabbed his wand and shouted "Incendio" except nothing happened.
The four them quickly ran to there dorms, and (Y/n) caught Umbridge's face in the fire, just as he and Harry closed the door behind them.
The next morning they met in the common room, discussing what had happened. "It's Umbridge" Hermione Said "She's been reading your mail, and now somehow she's watching the fires"
"What do you think she attacked Hedwig?" Harry asked.
"Course she did, she's a heartless piece of work" (Y/n) said.
"That was a close call" Hermione said "if she had caught Snuffles..."
"He'd have back in Azkaban this morning" Harry finished for her.
"Hey (Y/n) Why'd you think lighting the fire place on fire would get rid of Umbridge?" Ron asked him laughing.
"Oh sod off, it was the first spell that came to mind" (Y/n) said to him.
"I think I've found something!" Neville said out of breath running up to them. He then lead them to the seven floor and stopped in front of a blank wall that was across from a tapestry of dancing trolls.
"It was right there" Neville said "I was pacing this hallway thinking about where we could practice and it showed up."
"That's it!" (Y/n) said and he started to pace the hallway thinking "we need a place to practice magic." On his third time passing the wall, a large ornate door appeared.
The walls were lined with large wooden bookshelves, and in the corner were stacks of large silk cushions. On the other side of the room were shelves lined with different dark detecting objects, like sneakoscopes and a large cracked for glass.
"These'll be good for stunners" Ron said lightly kicking one of the pillows.
"And look at these book!" Hermione said running her finger down a few of the spines.
"This is brilliant!" Harry said taking in the room. "It's as though Hogwarts wants us to fight back!"
