(Y/n) headed back to the common room, where he talked with Ron and Hermione for a bit before Harry came running into the room, drenched in sweat.

He explained to them hurriedly that he was no longer doing occlumency lessons with Snape.

"Snape reckons I can carry on by myself now I've got the basics..." Harry said trailing off.

"I don't know mate I think you should keep taking these lessons" (Y/n) said worried.

"I told you I'm fine!" Harry snapped at them.

"So you've stopped having those dreams then?" Hermione asked skeptically.

"Pretty much" Harry said, avoiding eye contact with all of them.

"Well I think you shouldn't stop till you stop having them" Hermione said to him.

"Harry just go back and ask him to-" (Y/n) started.

"No! Just drop it already!" Harry said violently.

The next morning they woke up to find a notice in the common room, saying that all fifth years would meet with their heads of house for a career guidance meeting.

(Y/n) headed down to McGonagall's office for his meeting, only to find Umbridge was there as well.

"Hey Dolores, how's it going?" (Y/n) said to Umbridge with a wave. She only scowled at him.

"Good morning Mr (L/n), please take a seat" McGonagall said to him indicating a chair.

"Now then have you given any thought about you would like to do after Hogwarts?"

"Not really" (Y/n) said truthfully "I wouldn't mind being an auror, or maybe a healer, or maybe something to do with dragons they've always seemed cool."

"Well then let's take a look at your grades. Professor Flitwick has given you an O for most of your tests and papers, and said you have skill with charms.

"Transfigurations have generally been good, I would rate your work at a solid E, you have shown good work but still with room to improve.

"Professor Snape has said you show great promise in potions, with an innate talent for the art. He has consistently given you O's and E's on your work.

"Herbology is where you are weakest, Professor Sprout has said you have the enthusiasm, but lacking in the actual skill. She has given you between a P and an A.

"Divinations you have shown an aptitude at, regularly receiving O's." McGonagall said this with an air of distaste, as she had never considered it to be a real branch of magic.

"Hagrid has given you spectacular grades, saying you have a natural talent with magical creatures. He has given you almost exclusively O's.

"As for Defense Against the Dark Arts your work has been more than acceptable, with most teachers giving you an E. Although most have remarked that you have a tendency to light fire."

"Hem hem" Umbridge cut in. "I think you haven't seen my report"

"This?" McGonagall said waving a pink paper. Umbridge nodded at this, and McGonagall simply threw it aside.

"Well an auror is a difficult path although your grades are on track. Most students struggle with potions, however you have shown skill with it. While this is a hard path to follow I believe you have what it takes.

"As for a healer I would recommend that you double down and attempt to improve your Herbology grade, as currently you are lacking in that.

"For a job with dragons well it is a dangerous job, but I believe you have it in you-"

"Hem hem" Umbridge coughed again.

"Yes did you have something to say?" McGonagall said through gritted teeth.

"I do not think this boy has the temperament for any of those jobs" Umbridge said. "He has shown violent tendencies since I have been here"

"Well then looks like I would make a great High Inquisitor, or maybe senior under secretary to the minister" (Y/n) said smirking at Umbridge.

"I do not believe you would be able to get a job at the ministry with your behavior!" She said outraged at (Y/n).

"I disagree Dolores" McGonagall said, with a small smile to (Y/n). "Now then I think that will do for today. My door is always open Mr (L/n) if you need to speak with me, and I would like you to know that you have my full support."

Later that week there was another quidditch match, Gryffindor against Ravenclaw.

Since Harry was banned from quidditch he joined (Y/n) and Hermione in the stands to watch and cheer on Ron and the rest of the Gryffindor team.

After about ten minutes Ron has already let in two goals. "Harry... Hermione... (Y/n)" Someone whisper shouted to them.

They turned around and found Hagrid behind them. "What's up Hagrid?" (Y/n) asked him.

"Keep your voice down" Hagrid warned them. "Come with me" he said.

"Can't it wait until the end of the match?" Harry asked.

"No it's got ter be now" Hagrid said to them. "Will ever' one else is watching... please"

"Course we will Hagrid" Harry said to him and the three of them got up and walked out of the stadium with him.

They followed him off towards the forbidden forest. "Are we going in there?" Harry asked Hagrid, who nodded.

Hagrid made a quick stop at his cabin and came out carrying his crossbow.

"Come on then quickly now" Hagrid said, checking over his shoulder before striding into the forest.

Hermione grabbed (Y/n)'s hand, and he gave it a quick squeeze to reassure her.

They walked in silence for a bit before Hagrid broke it. "I think I should fill yer in. Well yer see the thing is... there's a good chance I'll be gettin' the sack"

"But you've lasted this long-" Hermione said.

"But you'll have Grubblyplank to get yeh through yer exams. But I just needed someone to help me with something" Hagrid said ignoring Hermione.

"Of course we'll help you" Harry said.

"What do you need us to do?" (Y/n) asked.

"Here it'll be easier if I show yeh" Hagrid said before turning around and carrying on deeper into the forest.
