Chapter 6

You found Darry in his room on his bed reading the newspaper.You asked."Hey Dar you mind If I cook tonight?" He looked up from his newspaper and said."Um sure give it a shot." you thanked him and zoomed into the kitchen.Once you got to the kitchen you called for Ponyboy and Sodapop and  they came running into the kitchen."Hey Boys what's your favorite dinner that all 3 of you like."Then they chatted to each other silently and came up with a meal. Then Soda said."We are good with Spaghetti & Meatballs"Soda said.

After Soda got done talking Pony politely asked."Hey do you need any help we are both free and bored if you do need it."You smirked and replied."Oh i'm good I think I can handle this myself, but I see a deck of cards on the table why don't you go play with each other." They both frowned and decided to go play cards because they had no other choice.Then Finally you were ready to cook and got out all of your ingredients.You loved cooking a lot, when you were little you always used to cook with your dad and have the best time.

It really helped you in the future when your mom was out late drinking or working you would pull out a cookbook or remember the recipe and make it.You almost broke down but you held it in and started cooking.When the meatballs were in the oven you saw Soda and Pony had moved to the couch and are watching tv so you thought it would be a great time to set up the table and you did.Once you got done making your dad's famous sauce you looked over and saw them looking very bored so you decided to be nice and let them try it out the sauce once it's done. Then you started cooking everything.A little bit later the meatballs were in the oven so you decided to set the table.When you got done that you started to make your dad's secret sauce.It smelled so good Pony and Soda walked over and asked what are you cooking."Would you guys like to try the sauce?" you asked."You bet we would."Said Pony, and they both grabbed spoons.

Once they both tasted it their faces lit up, Soda was the first to comment."This is delicious!" Then Pony commented after him."This is amazing you gotta tell me the recipe." You thought about it and said."Its my dad's recipe and it's also top secret."You chuckled to yourself and continued."But maybe someday thought,but for now can you guys get Darry I'm going to start getting the plates ready?" They nodded and went to go get Darry.When Darry walked in he commented."Wow the food looks and smells great." you grinned and said thank you.

Then you all sat down, ate and talked.Later on Darry moved on to a bigger topic."So Soda and Pony, I had decided that Y/N can move in with us if she wants.You look over to them to see their eyes popping out and their faces turning red.Then Ponyboy screamed across the table."I CALL Y/N TO SLEEP IN MY ROOM AND KICK SODA TO THE COUCH."Then Soda scream back across the table."NO ITS MY ROOM FYI AND YOU GO TO SLEEP ON THE COUCH, I CALL Y/N."All of the screaming made you startled.Then things got more intense.

They looked so pissed with each other that they ran to the living room and wrestled.Darry kept shouting to knock it off while you were sitting there laughing so hard.Then Darry went over to stop it but he got pulled in.It got so much funnier that you almost fell out of your chair.Finally they cooled off and sat down then Darry explained some more."So anyway Dally,Two Bit,and I cleared the storage room and made it a guest room and a room for you for now."Then Soda and Pony were even more upset and frustrated with Darry now.

Then you guys finished dinner,Cleaned up and went to the room.Once you opened it there were white cream walls covered with some pictures of the beach.You walked over to the vanity across from you and found a picture of the gang, and right next to it was a jar of Seashells.Then you walked to the other side of the room and found an armchair that was a green sea foam color and right next to the chair were a stack of 5 books.The book on top was "Gone with The Wind." You remember reading that book with your dad when you were younger.

Even sometimes your mom would join you and your dad and read it. Then you walked over to The Dresser it was a wooden one painted white and on top of it there was a Record Player.You had put on some Stevie Wonder and started laughing and dancing and they also joined along with you.Last You looked behind you and saw the bed with white bedding and a ocean blue blanket that was super soft.After you thanked and hugged them.Later on that night you got on Pjs and watched some Mickey Mouse Then fell asleep in your new room.
