Elizabeth POV
"Because I love you, you idiot", I say in tears. Jack just stormed out into the pouring rain without saying anything but I wasn't going to let him get away. I had to tell him that I love him before it was too late. Jack doesn't say anything, he just walks to me and pulls me in for a kiss. I am shocked at first but then I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer to me. It is raining and I'm freezing but I wouldn't change this moment. I know it's such a story line to be kissing in the rain and I'm getting high school musical vibes right now but it's perfect.

We pull away from each other and our eyes lock. Jack rests his forehead on mine and I smile. "I knew you love me", Jack says to me and I laugh. "I'm sorry it took forever to tell you how I feel about you, about us", I say and he kisses me again. "I love you", he says. "I love you too", I say back. After a moment of a silence, I speak up, "Jack?".

"Yeah?".

"I don't mean to ruin the moment but I'm so cold and very wet right now. Can we go back to someone's house and sit in front of a heater?".

"Yes of course", Jack laughs and wraps me in his jacket. We walk to his house and he turns on the heater straight away. I go to the bathroom and dry my hair with the blow dryer then change my clothes into Jack's shirt and sweatpants. We said I love you and now I'm stealing his clothes. After I'm dry, I walk to the living room and sit on the couch, waiting for Jack to come downstairs from his room.

Jack comes downstairs and looks me up and down. I look down at myself thinking there is something wrong. "What's wrong?", I ask. "You look cute in my clothes", he says with a smile. I giggle and cuddle him on the couch. "Are you warm now?", Jack asks and I lean into him more. "I'll take that as a yes", he laughs and kisses my head. "We lasted a week being broken up. I should've asked you to talk after about a month so the confession of love would be more dramatic", Jack says to me and I giggle. "I would say the confession of love and the kiss was dramatic enough", I say. Jack laughs and tilts my chin up so I look at him. "I missed you so much, even if it was only a week of being apart", he says to me and kisses me sweetly. "I missed you too", I whisper and stand up from the couch. "Where are you going?", Jack asks me but I don't answer him, instead, I straddle his lap and wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him close to me. He laughs and buried his face in my neck and kisses it. "That tickles", I giggle, which makes Jack continue the gesture. I grab his chin and turn his head to face me then kiss his lips sweetly.

I rest my head on his forehead and sigh. "What's wrong", Jack asks me. As I am about to speak, there is a knock on the door. Jack lifts me off his lap and gently lays me on the couch. He walks to the door and opens it, greeting the person there. I turn to face them and see his mum walk into the house. "Liz, hello. I haven't seen you in a while", his mum say to me and I smile. "Hello", I say with a wave. I see Jack and his mum mumble to each other and she looks towards me with a smile. Jack walks to me and sits on the couch. I raise my eyebrows and nudge him so he can get the idea that I want to know what him and his mum were saying. "She's glad we're back together", he says and I smile. He kisses me and I lay my head on his chest. "It's fate", Jack whispers and I look at him. "What?", I ask. I heard him but I want him to repeat it and elaborate. Fate is stupid and is just made up shit. "It's fate", he repeats and I shake my head. "No, fate isn't a real thing. It's made up". I say to him.

"Liz, it really is fate that we met and fell in love".

"That makes no sense".

"How doesn't it make sense".

"Jack, fate is made up shit. It wasn't fate. I told you that before".

"Whether you believe it or not, it was fate".

"You can believe it but I don't".

"Fine. I respect your opinion".

"Right back at ya", I say and lean into Jack again. Our second argument in like two hours, we are doing so well in our relationship. It's fine, honestly. People fight but come to an agreement in the end and have a civilised fight which Jack and I just had. I don't want to fight all the time though, we love each other and shouldn't argue so much but we come to agreements in the end so I don't think it's bad. "Elizabeth, will you be staying for dinner", Jack's mum asks me as she walks to the couch. "No I cant, thank you for offering. I should get home now actually. My mum has been texting me non stop", I say to Jack and his mum. "All good, darling. Maybe you will be able to join us next time", she says and walks upstairs. Jack walks me to the front door and opens it for me. I thank him and turn around to face him once I'm standing outside his house. "I love you", Jack says to me and kisses my cheek then my lips. I blush slightly with a small smile. "I love you too", I say and wave him goodbye.

My mum is sitting on the couch when I walk into my house. She looks at me and waits for me to tell her the details about Jack and I. I sit down with her and update her on everything going on. She was nodding along, really engaged in her teenage daughter's love life. "Honey, I'm so glad everything is fine now", she says to me and strokes my cheek. "I'm glad too".
