Chapter 12

Mia's POV

'' I'm sorry Mark but I have to go.'' I said shaking.

''Is everything alri- '' I didn't even let him finish I started running as fast as my feet could carry me.

*6 hours earlier.

''Mia.'' Emily shouted from the other side of Starbucks as she saw me coming in and came for a hug.

''Hi Em. Great to see you.''

''I know right. I can't even remember the last time we met.'' she said.

I laughed. She's always exaggerating.

''So how are you doing? You know with Niall not being here.'' she asks.

''Well, I miss him alot and I-'' I can't even finish the sentence because a tear dropped from eyes.

Emily rubbed my back.

''So how are you doing?'' I asked changing the subject.

''Great. I am actually going out tomorrow with that guy that Tess and I were fighting over at the club.''

''Really?'' I'm not surprised. Emily is the type of girl that every guy wants.

She nods.

We spend and hour and a half at Starbucks talking about how our life is going and collage. We found out that we're both rooting for the same one and it's great because at least I would know someone.

A smell of spagetthi came out of the house as I opened the front door. Probably dad is cooking us lunch.

''You're so good at this.'' A voice came from the living room. I went to take a look who was it.

Then I see Mike. The one who wanted to take pictures of me half naked. He was playing video games with Joe. What the heck is he doing here in my house?

''Hey Mia.'' Dad said. '' This is Mike. Ellen's son.''

What?!

Mike didn't say anything. He was more in shock than I was. Ellen kept talking about him during dinner and that he's the same age as I am and how great friends we should be. Mike and I couldn't stop looking at each other awkwardly we didn't even speak to each other.

''What collage did you apply for Mia?'' Dad asked.

''St.Andrews Collage.''

''That's were Mike and his girlfriend are going.'' Ellen interrupted.

As if I care.

''Her name is Courntey. I have never met such a beautiful girl. Do you know her Mia?'' Ellen asked me.

Oh. So they're together now. That's so not sweet. ''Oh. Yes I do.'' I smiled at Ellen and gave a mean look to Mike.

After lunch Joe wanted Me and Mike to take him to the park. Great so now we have to spend sometime together.

I opened my book to read while Joe is playing. I'm not going to talk to Mike that's why I brought a book with me to ignore him.

''I know you don't want to talk to me and I don't blame you for that.'' Mike said.

I didn't say anything.

''Can you please just talk? We can't stay like this forever. We're kind of a family now.'' he said.

''What do you want me to say?'' I said. ''You're the one that wanted to take naked photos of me.''

''That's my job. I'm a photographer and Courtney is the one that you should be mad at not me.'' he said.

Oh. I am mad at her.

''Look. I get it. I'm sorry okay.'' he continued. '' I don't like her too.'' he said as if he read my mind.

''Then why are you with her?'' I asked.

''Because of my mum. She set us up, because she's beautiful and her father has money.''

I said nothing and kept an eye on Joe. He really looked happy playing around.

My phone starts ringing at first I thought it was dad to check on us because we have been here an hour or so but it was locked number.

''Hello?'' I said.

''Hi Mia. This is Levi. I got your number from Niall's phone.''

''Is everything alright?'' My heart is beating faster by the second. Something is definitely not right.

''Not really. Niall got shot and they have taken him to a hospital in Dublin.'' he said sounding worried.

''Oh my gosh. I'm coming there.'' I ended the conversation. '' I'm sorry Mike but I have to go.''

'' Is everything alri-'' I didn't even let him finish I started running as fast as my feet could carry me. ''Make sure you get Joe back home safely.'' I shout from the other side of the road.

I get into my car not knowing exactly which way to the hospital he was in. All I know is that he's somewhere in Dublin and I have to go and find him.
