"Good evening, my name is Laura Ite, bringing you the news at ten. President Mark Koenig of mega gaming company, Nuroh Incorporated has suffered a heart attack after condemning audio files detailing several abductions by the company were released this afternoon. In his place, Managing Director Zachariah Abayomi, has assumed leadership of the company while the Vice President is conspicuously absent. Nuroh's servers have gone offline as thousands of complaints and hate messages continue to be sent-"

Koenig switched off the television angrily, throwing the remote at the wall where it broke open, its batteries scattering away.

"Has Sean contacted you?" he asked in helpless fury as his hands gripped his hospital gown. His question was directed at Praise.

When Tyler had made moves to procure a search warrant to investigate Nuroh, Koening had staged a heart attack, an act to pull the public's attention from Nuroh as well as delay Tyler's investigation.

Praise shook her head and Koenig sneered at the motion. "How many audio files has he leaked?"

"A total of seven sir, the most recent one being a conversation with Volunteer 117, Mikel Ark. Tyler Ark has already begun collating several testimonies from different family members of previous Volunteers. If his investigation warrant is granted, I suspect he will file a lawsuit next." Praise delivered her answer in a robotic voice.

"Of all people who could betray me," Koenig sighed, "it had to be Sean."

His shoulders slumped jadedly, and he released another tired sigh. "I'm sure Mr. Ark's warrant will not be granted until I assume seat. Till then, you're in charge Praise."

Praise raised her head, looking at him in surprise.

"Zachariah will represent the company, but as a figurehead. You'll be in charge of all operations, and most specifically No Blessed. Deactivate Sean's passcode completely, he should not be allowed to step a foot on company ground." Koenig gave off his instructions minutely, and Praise nodded in compliance. "I've already made sure your access card is upgraded, at least while I'm here. Do your best to clear out the basement, most especially, of that thing and destroy all evidence of No Blessed. I'm counting on you."

"Of course sir."

Koenig leaned into his seat as Praise bowed lowly before exiting the hospital room. Nuroh was his life and his blood, a company he'd raised from ground zero, and nurtured like a child.

He would rather die, than let anything happen to it.

Pouring himself another drink, Sean's fingers drummed on the table as he watched the news, scoffing to himself when Koenig's heart attack was reported. It was nothing more than a ploy to delay Tyler Ark, he'd known Koenig long enough to see through his ruses.

He downed his drink in a one gulp and reached for the bottle again, tipsy but determined to drink his sorrow away.

He still refused to believe mouthy, traitorous Praise had one-upped him. Praise, who used to cower at his threats and melted at a glance. How had he not seen it? When had she read him so well, and predicted his actions so?

It burned his soul, as if someone was poking a red hot rod into his heart. He'd been bested, and by a woman.

Sean set down his glass, walking towards his window as he reminisced about the events of the day. It was clear to see that Mark believed it was he who was releasing the damning audio files and since there was no way he could have, then it was Praise. That much was clear to see.

He still had no idea how she had gained access to the files, especially when her access card wasn't of a level high enough but there was no one who could have done it but Praise.
