Previously on my sister's boyfriend:

y/n- Derek, why are you really here?

Derek- I completely regret what I did, and what I said to you, it was completely nonsen-

y/n- she turned you down, didnt she?

there was a moment of silence

y/n- im not going to be your second choice, she sounded like she was going to cry again,

y/n- I think that you should go

Alessya started to close the door

Derek- wait

You could see that she hesitated but she still closed the door, I was just standing there looking like a fool.

NOW-

y/n's POV-

You dont know how bad, I wanted to open the door and open my arms back up to him, but I didnt, I just heard the car door slam and the tires screeching away. Im not used to crying over a guy but this wasn't an ordinary guy this is my kid's father, my first love, he was different, he is special, no

he WAS special. 

I might not know how imma do this without him but I will. I looked at the time, 11:23. I need some sleep.

*next morning*

I woke up, I have to run so errands so, I got ready and did my morning routine and got the kids ready to go to the babysitter. I dropped the kids off and headed to the lawyer's office, I know what you are thinking.

First I have to get some divorce papers and parental custody, Im not going to be that parent that won't let the parent see his kids, but I dont want him to have sole custody of my kids. I still want him in their life just not mine. If he wants to hoe around, I will let him hoe around, but he isn't going to do that around my kids. 

*fast forward*

I already got the papers and filled them out, all I have to do is send them to Derek or do it in person. I decided to do it in person since he can be unreliable sometimes.

- can we meet up today?

Derek

- yea, I really need to talk to you

read at 12: 34 pm

There is no point of texting him back, I honestly didnt want to deal with him,

*fast forward*

I arrived at the restaurant that we decided upon, 

Derek- hey, im so glad that you could make it

y/n- yea

Derek- do you want anything

y/n- no im fine

Derek- are you sure, the wings here are great

y/n- Derek im trying to be serious,

Derek- okay, fine. what do you want to talk about

I pulled the papers out of my purse, I handed them to Derek, his cheeky smile immediately faded.

Derek- what are these for?

y/n- im pretty sure that you can tell

Derek- you want a divorce

y/n- yes, and I want custody of the kids

Derek- what the fuck

y/n- you are unreliable sometimes, Derek, I can't trust you with the kids

Derek- what do you mean im unreliable?

y/n- you leave for days, not a word, then you leave me for someone else on numerous occasions

y/n- you are still going to see the kids, I just dont want to rely on someone who is unreliable

Derek started to sign one sheet, I think it was the divorce one, but he hesitated on the custody papers

Derek- are you serious about this Alessya, you dont want me in my kid's life

y/n- I literally just said that I want you in their life

He took a deep sigh and finally signed the papers, he looked down at the papers one more time, and closed his eyes, while handing me the papers. 

y/n- thank you, I have to go now

I could tell that Derek was sad, but that was his fault.

I smiled without teeth(if that makes sense)

I got up and walked away, I could feel him staring at me while I was walking away, I wanted to walk back and just kiss him one more time, but I couldn't. 

*later that night*

I couldn't help but think about Derek and just think about all the memories we had together. But then the bad memories came raining over the good ones that were flooding my mind. I couldn't help but think about it one more time.
