"Welp," I put my hands in my hips. "Here it is. 'Little people apartments.'"

It actually was a random apartment that didn't have name on the front. But Wu didn't need to know that. It was a three story with a few broken windows here and there. The old man gave me a kind smile. Kinda made me feel a bit guilty.

"Thank you Misty. Hopefully our paths will cross again someday. "

"Uh, yeah. It's no problem. I better head back home though. My pet gets nosy if I'm not home by 2."

He did a curt nod. "Of course. Farewell Misty. Farewell." Then he walked to the lobby doors.

"Bye Wu! See ya around." I said while giving him a wave. He waved back just before going through the doors.

I did a spin around and took a left. I made sure to stay on the side walk. Don't want to get hit by cars. The street lights were the only things lit. Some of the building I walked pass had lights in them, but they don't really let me see much. So most of the streets were empty, sometimes a car would pass by. But that was it really. I know taking a walk at night is dangerous, but only if you don't know where to go. New people that move to this side of the city are always the easiest to mug. I know because the third night I was here, someone stole my blankets. *sniffle* I never got the chance to wash them yet. 😢

The walk wasn't very memorable. After doing it for 2 years, it gets old. Luckily, it wasn't chilly, so I didn't get to freeze my ass off. The summer night walks are peaceful, in way. My apartment soon came into view. I walk a little faster towards it. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the real 'Little people apartments.' I know lying to an old man seemed wrong, but he was asking weird questions. 'Have you noticed anything unusual about the wind?' What did the wind have to do anything about Wu finding this girl he's looking for? He looked like trouble to me, and nobody needs that here in the apartment I live in. I was a little disappointed when I knew he wasn't Ms. Bunkle's date. They would make a good couple. I'll probably ship it later. Yeah, probably. With a tired sigh, I pushed the doors open. Nobody was in the lobby. Who would be up around 1am in the morning? Besides me. There was a desk with little P.O boxes behind it. I walk up to mine. Then I put in my combo and open it up. I opened it up, but like almost everyday, it was empty. No letters from old friends, no check (Chuck you cheapskate), nothing. I close it up and head towards the stairs. It creaked and groaned under my weight. It's not because I'm fat or anything. The stairs are just old.

My room was on the second floor. Number 12. Most of the rooms here aren't in numeral order, so I try not worry about it otherwise my O.C.D will start acting up. It's not that bad, but it will bug me to no end. I unlocked my door with a key I had in my pocket. Then I opened the door, only to be tackled to the ground.

"Ah! Todd! No kisses on mommy's face! Pfft!"

But the puppy kept on doing it anyways. He must've really missed me. Well, I was an hour late, so I guess he has a right to worry. His fluffy tail was wagging so fast, it could power a city. I stood up and wiped my face.

"Urg, Todd, did you get into the garbage again?" I scolded. His breath reeked of it.

Todd put his orange-red head down in shame. His tail stopped wagging, and his eyes started to get watery. Oh man, he's doing it again. I gave out a sigh and scooped him up.

"Come on boy, let's get inside."

I walked into my burnt smelling room and dropped Todd. Then I closed the door and made sure to lock it. Just in case, ya know. My room was fairly simple. There was a microwave, a few cabinets that were half empty, a table and two chair, a little fridge, and a counter and sink. Oh, and a oven. And the whole kitchen was in one corner, while the table and chairs were in the middle. I.... I don't have a T.V, I wish I did. But the one down in the lobby will have to do. I had a bathroom with only a shower and sink. (Also a toilet) and then there was my bedroom. Inside it was just a dresser and bed. The two blankets were plain with no real design on them. And there was a window in my room that had a fire escape on it. Which is kinda cool.
