Shit! Fuck shit fuck shit fuck! I am so late! I was running pass people who were yelling at me to slow down, but I ignored them. Maybe I could still make it! I was in a completely different outfit. Instead of a tight shirt and spandex, I wore jeans, a regular shirt, and tennis shoes. I also had a backpack on with Todd's head poking out. Hopefully Lloyd would still be there. I pulled out my phone and looked at the time while tryung to avoid running into people. It was 10:36! Shit! Come on Y/n, you can do it!
The Dairy Queen was in view now. Finally! But then I felt my phone vibrate. I turned it on to see what is was. 'A text' was the last thing I read before colliding with a random stranger. The impact was of course unexpected and hurt a little. I landed on top of the guy with my face in his chest.
I started to look up and said, "Urg, oh man. I'm so so sorry!" I wasn't watching whe-"
The person I ran into was Lloyd. Great. Why does the universe hate me today? Todd's head was still out with his tongue making a slight panting noise. Thank you universe. It's exactly what I need."Heh, guess your already falling for me already."
He did not just..... I realized how close his face close to mine. Our noses were nearly touching. My eyes met his dark green ones that seemed to be... alarmed? I could feel the blush coming to my cheeks. I pulled away and sat up. Welp, thus is awkward.
"Lloyd! I am so so sorry!"
I quickly got up and said, "I didn't see you! Here let me help."
I stuck my hand out for him to grab. I helped him and dusted him off a little. I'm gonna have to make it up to him. But he brushed me off like being tackled to the ground was nothing. But now that I'm standing next to him, I can't help but think... 'oof I'm short compared to him.'
"It's fine Y/n. I've been through worse. "
My face must've seemed not convinced, cause he gave me a smile and said. "Don't worry. It's not as if I broke a bone. I was wondering when you were gonna come, and when you didn't show, I thought you just pranked me and went to do something else."
"I'm sorry, I was talking to this guy and I lost track of the time and I hadtochange my clothesandgetthatletter. AndIcouldn'tleave ToddathomeandwhenIlookedatthetime, I hadtoreallysprintand-"
"Hey hey hey. It's fine. Your here now, and I'm still here. We could head inside if you want." He said pointing at the diner.
How can he not be mad? If I was tackled to the ground, I'd be at least a bit irritated. "Uh, y-yeah sure."
We walked side by side as people started to glare at us. What is their problem? I mean, I know bumping into a person isn't cool, everybody does it. But that doesn't mean I should get a few glares here and there. Some people, man."So this is the pet you told me about?" Lloyd asked as he opened the door for me.
"Yep, Todd Lloyd. Lloyd Todd."
When we walked in, everyone stopped and stared. A waitress was in the middle of writing something, a kid was hiding behind his mom, and one of the cooks peeked out the door only to quickly run back in. Are they... afraid? Wait, do I look...? I quickly looked at my hands for anything that was pitch black and moving, but nothing. That's good, that's good. No need to get nervous all of a sudden, your fine, relax.
"Wanna go sit over there?"
Lloyd's voice broke my thoughts. "Oh, uh... yes. Let's um, go sit down."
But the second we got to a table in a corner, everyone around us moved and sat else where. "Do you know what's everyone's problem? It's like we go the plague or something."
