Hey, everyone!

Today I'm gonna talk about a character named Lou from an animated movie called Uglydolls. So, if you haven't watched that movie yet, you won't really understand what I'll be saying here. If you want, watch the movie! Buut... The movie really isn't anything that great really, it's really basic. The only thing, in my opinion, that makes this movie valid is Lou. Only watch it if you don't mind wasting an hour and a half of your life.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, let's get to the point!

So, I watched the movie Uglydolls not too long ago and,

Well, as I said, the movie itself is pretty basic, nothing special to it. But its ending...

Oh, god. The ending.

What can I say? I just hate the ending so much lol.

The reason I hated the ending is because they did the character, Lou, so dirty it just breaks my heart.

Now, I know that Lou is the villain, and some of you might say that he deserved that ending.

But I'll be the first to say,

Okay, so why do I think Lou's ending was a huge load of bull crap?

Well, grab your snacks and buckle up because this is gonna be a looong ride.

_____

Honestly, Lou is one of the most misunderstood characters I've ever encountered. It breaks my heart every time I see how they treated him at the end of the movie. It's just too cruel, even for someone like Lou.

If you want my opinion, I think that Lou's evil ways were just a natural reaction to all the pain that he's been through. I mean, just imagine having this dream of going to the big world, the one place you've always longed to be your whole life, then you get banned from ever going there simply because of the way you were created... A prototype.

Not just that, you're also forced to help everybody else succeed and go to the big world while you fail over and over again, regardless of how well you do in the gauntlet. You're forced to be reminded that you're trapped here every day and that you'll never be anything more than just a slave for the factory. Imagine being forced to constantly put on a smile and make shows to keep everyone entertained when deep down you're hurting.

Lou had no choice but to lie about having to be perfect to go to the big world because his only purpose in his life is to make everyone perfect like him. He was designed like this solely to make everyone mimic him, but if nobody had to be perfect, then... What's the point of Lou? If people found out the truth, Lou would be unemployed, homeless, and worthless. He'd be thrown into the streets to rot and he can't even leave.

Imagine you have to live in perpetual fear every single day because you're terrified of the fact that you'll be exposed one day and everyone will find out how useless you really are. The only thing that's giving him the motivation to keep going is his reputation. His reputation is everything to him, no, not because he's a jerk, but because it's what's giving him shelter, it's what's keeping him alive. What's even sadder is that he can't even enjoy any of these things he has because he has a lot of work to do and he's too busy worrying about losing everything to enjoy any of it. Yes, he lives in a mansion, but that doesn't change the fact that he is a prisoner.

Imagine having to watch as everyone you once loved and cared about, everyone you once considered a friend you can trust, leave you behind, and move on from you as if you were just a moment in their lives, just a phase, a lost memory... Lou has no one to talk to about his feelings. He doesn't have friends or someone he can depend on. He's on his own.
