Chapter 20: Struggle

I looked around for the voice before stumbling across a boy with his back to me. He was pale with pitch black hair and baby blue and white pinstriped pajamas.

"Hello? Are you lost?" It was as if my mind went blank and I didn't remember my surroundings as I approached the boy. I placed a hand on his shoulder to make him turn around.

The others and I congratulated Trini and Billy for passing Rita's test when I noticed something, my hand felt, cold. It's strange, my hand felt warm a second ago but when I looked down I realized Fox wasn't with me.

"Guys? Where's Fox?" I asked as my heart started beating faster. If we can't find her and she's in trouble she could disappear! The others looked around but didn't see her making my anxiety grow. Suddenly, I heard a deafening scream from my left and I bolted in that direction, my heart was pounding in my ears as my mind raced with all the reasons she could have screamed.

The boy turned around and as soon as I made eye contact with him, my head filled with screaming voices. A large burst of red and black fire like energy shot out around me, a large burn mark embedding itself in the sand and plants surrounding me. I fell to my knees as shadows danced around my vision in a suffocating manner, screaming at me profanities and demands.

They were so loud. I closed my eyes and screamed just to try and make some of the pressure in my head go away, only to have it increase tenfold. I couldn't think, I couldn't see and I couldn't hear. I started crying from the intensity of the screams. I felt arms around me making me thrash around to get whatever it is to unhand me, but that only made it tighten it's grip. I felt something near my ear, something was breathing in my ear, the pattern of the breaths leading me to believe it's talking. The thing holding me pulls me down as I struggle. I'm yelling and crying for the shadows to leave me alone, telling the screaming to go away and shut up, wanting the thing holding me to let me go, I'll do anything to make this stop. I felt my head gently hit something before a steady beat sounded from my right. The beat was familiar and calmed me down slightly. I felt around for something to grab onto, finding fabric under my hand that I held in a death grip. I felt fingers running through my hair, a voice was quietly whispering sweet nothings to me, before the screaming came back louder. The voice was familiar and calming. I pushed through the screaming as much as I could to get to the soothing voice. I focused on that voice as I tried to block out the screams. Soon, the voice became clearer as it told me simple things like how I'm beautiful, it's okay, I'm safe, I'm not alone and I love you.

I love you.

I focused on those 3 words that the voice said. I stopped yelling and managed to mumble a quiet 'I love you too' to the owner of the voice. I can't remember who it is, but I can remember my love for them. I felt their grip on me tighten slightly when I said that as they kissed my hair. I loosened my grip on the fabric in my hands, I started to focus on the steady beat in my ears. It was a heartbeat, but it wasn't my own. I focused hard on the heartbeat and before long, the screaming faded away before stopping completely,

I opened my eyes slightly to see green fabric held in my light grip. I was on someone's chest. I stopped crying and just sat there with the persons arms around me. I felt so tired but I had to stay awake. I looked up at the person holding me to see a familiar face.

"T-Tommy?" My voice was hoarse and my accent was thicker then usual. He nodded and I could see tears in his eyes.

"You scared me so much. You were yelling and crying and you were starting to disappear! I thought I was gonna lose you." He said a tear fell from his eye. I wiped the tear away as I smiled at him.

"I am alright now. No more yelling and crying and I am not disappearing anytime soon." I said to his as I kissed his lips. Our communicators and power coins suddenly reappeared.

"We coulda had these all along." Trini said with a smile as after regaining her sense of reality from what just happened. Tommy and I stood up.

"Yea, and we each had the power to break Rita's spell." Tommy said as he looked at me.

"Well, I needed your help, but alright." I said quietly to his as I cuddled into his side.

"All we needed, was a little self confidence!" Zack said before suddenly the whole Island started shaking.

"We gotta hurry!" Billy said in a panic while we all tried to keep balance.

"Its morphin' time!" Jason exclaimed as we all morphed and reappeared in our zords, while I was on the same building as before. I called my Zord which flew down from the sky, the ice that formed on it melted off. I jumped into my zord and helped the others defeat the monster, the others all combined as mutintus attacked. I was flying overhead while the others fought, until I saw a big red button on my control panel.

"Who wants to see what the big red button in front of me does?!" I asked everyone but pressed it, even after Billy advised against pressing the button. I thought nothing happened until I looked at my console, noticing something. "I'm red!" I screamed before I tried to use my feather knives attack but instead of the normal ones, when my wings shot the sharp feathers at the ugly beast, they were on fire?! And they burnt the monster where ever the feathers touched.

"I'm pressing that button more often!" I shouted in excitement as I grinned like the Cheshire cat. The others attacked the beast and stalked towards it as it's attacks missed the others. They then sent a final attack and destroyed the mutant monster, before turning to Lokar.

"We call upon the power of titanus and the ultra zord! Alright guys! Let's finish this!" Jason said as they combined with the ultra zord.

"Ultra zord! Power up!" They all yelled together as the ultra megazord ran at Lokar, shooting a finishing blast only for Lokar to get away.
