Harry's POV

Madam Pomfrey insisted on keeping me in the hospital wing for the rest of the weekend. I didn't argue or complain, but I wouldn't let her throw away the shattered remnants of my Nimbus Two Thousand. I knew I was being stupid, knew that the Nimbus was beyond repair, but I couldn't help it; I felt as though I'd lost one of my best friends.

I had a stream of visitors, all intent on cheering me up. Hagrid sent me a bunch of earwiggy flowers that looked like yellow cabbages, and Ginny, blushing a lot, turned up with a get-well card she made herself, which sang shrilly unless I kept it shut under my bowl of fruit. The Gryffindor team visited again on Sunday morning, this time accompanied by Wood, who told me (in a hollow, dead sort of voice) that he didn't blame me in the slightest. Ron, (Y/N) and Hermione left my bedside only at night. But nothing anyone said or did could make me feel any better, because they knew only half of what was troubling me.

Well, everyone but (Y/N). (Y/N) knew everything I heard because she'd heard them too. She would be the only one staying with me just after Ron and Hermione left and I was very grateful. (Y/N) would take my mind off everything by starting different conversations. Sometimes, she would insist on talking about the problems because she said that if I didn't speak about them, I'd feel a lot more worse about it, bottling up my feelings. Although I really wanted to disagree, I couldn't.

One night, (Y/N) came with different sweets and some joke objects to entertain.

"I have no clue what this one does though." she said, fiddling with an odd object. After trying to get it to work, it snapped at her fingers causing her to shriek a little. "Ouch! I'm giving these back to the twins, it's useless!"

"What are those?" I asked her, pointing at some white dust thing trapped in a pot.

"Beltch Powder. Dead useful, they are." she explained and then frowned. "Have you heard anything else?"

"Why? Have you?" I asked her.

"No, I haven't. Just checking though." said (Y/N), placing the Beltch Powder inside the plastic bag again. "It's weird though, isn't it? We already know who we're hearing.."

"She was saving me." I stated, "from him."

She stayed silent. "D'you think we should tell anyone?"

"No." I answered, "no, they'll just think we're going bonkers. I faint when I see them."

"But maybe we can learn how to stop it. Like how Professor Lupin did, on the train." she suggested to which I thought hard and she interrupted me. "You know, I feel like I've seen Lupin before. I can't remember where or when, and I know that I've been brought up in the Muggle world so there can't have been any sort of encounter.. but I can't help but think.."

"C'mon. You've had a full hour! Surely you don't expect to stay any longer?" came Madame Pomfrey's voice.

(Y/N) turned her head as I looked behind her. Madame Pomfrey had her hands on her hips, shaking her hear.
