(Y/N)'s POV

Saturday afternoon seemed to melt away, and in what seemed like no time, it was five minutes to eight. I said my goodbyes to Harry and Ron as we departed seperate ways to our detentions. Mine, to the dungeons.

I dragged my feet along the hallways and in a few minutes, I found myself infront of the door which lead to doom.

I knocked on the door and heard a cold reply saying, "In."

I walked in and hastily took a seat on one of the chairs with a desk full of different potion ingredients, only I'd never used these before.

"How nice of you to join me, (L/N)."

"Can't say I wanted to." I grumbled, and to my surprise, he heard.

"I can assure you, the feeling is mutual." and before I could say another word, he strode around and reached my desk, his cold eyes glaring into mine. "You will be sorting out these ingredients, put them into their allocated jars, handle them.." he paused as his lips curled, "without gloves."

I clenched my fists. There were about a hundred things in those jars, all of which did not seem very pleasant. I was sure my anger would only affect the glow in my eyes and Snape seemed to think so too as he said,

"And don't even think about working up that power you use as a toy." he sneered, "it'll make things much worse for you."

I held my breath, "How many do I sort out."

"All the ones on your desk." I let out a breath. That was a good thing. There weren't many there and I could finish them in about twenty minutes or so, but all my hopes were disintegrated when he carried on to say, "and the ones in the cupboard."

I frowned. And I was sure I could feel my blood boiling under my skin. But before anything could happen, I forced a blink, that was very very hard to do. That was the first time I'd ever been able to control it.

"Ten points from Gryffindor." he said, quickly.

"Wait - for what?!" I shouted, outraged.

"You haven't started. Another ten points for raising your voice at a teacher, now get on with it, (L/N)."

I worked my way through the jars on my desk. The things in there weren't so bad. The one I had difficulty of trying not to vomit with, were the slugs. They were dead, yes, but that didn't stop all the ooze and slime from it.
