I will admit that the ending isn't the best, but isn't that fitting for Bill?

The whole week before the big volleyball game against Rockland, your rivals, you were more nervous than you had ever been before. You were the head captain of the team and didn't want to let anybody down.

Though Bill wanted to support you no matter what he started to worry about your health as you hadn't been sleeping for days. He would sneak over to your house and see you working on game plans and absentmindedly bouncing your volleyball. In the mornings he would bring you coffee to try and help get you through the day but he could still tell that you were drained.

The night before the game on Saturday was the worst out of all of them. Bill showed up at your window again, but you weren't in your room. It was nearly ten at night and usually, you would listen to your parent's rules about staying in your room.

While thinking for a little bit about where you could be he heard the distinct sound of you practising in the backyard. He walked around your house to the backyard and found you hitting your volleyball up in the air multiple times. He chuckled at how determined you were to be in the best shape possible to win tomorrow.

"Hey Bill, what are you doing here?" You asked as you engulfed him in a greeting hug.

"You need some sleep, come on," Bill mumbled into your hair as he pulled on your arm that was wrapped around his waist.

You were about to argue but soon realised that it would be no use against Bill. That boy could persuade you to do anything. He brought you up to your room and handed you some pyjamas to change into. He turned around and waited until you gave him the okay. He didn't hear anything for a while and saw you were passed out in bed still in your day clothes. His heart swelled at the sight before him and he cuddled up next to you.

The next morning, you woke up and saw a note where Bill usually sleeps.

Good morning sunshine, I hope you slept well. I didn't want to leave because you always look like an angel in the morning but had to so you could focus on winning. Good luck on the big game today, I know you'll knock 'em dead.

-Bill

You smiled at the lovely note and began to get ready for the day.
