"Loud and hard and fast." I smirked at the blonde's request. I decided to disregard most of the ways I could take that comment and just go with the face value.
Context. Context is very important.
But I'd still want to fuck her after my sequence.
I nodded with a wink before I left her by the bar counter and headed to the DJ booth.
Feeling the DAW by my fingertips felt like home. Up here, I'm less of a human disaster, I'm high, I'm the star of the club, the king of the party.
There were bright lights and pairs drunkenly dancing everywhere, this was what it felt to live my empire. This was my escape to the cruel reality of our lives. Just a touch of alcohol on one side, music and people goes on the other, and there you go, a party.
As requested by that busty blonde by the bar earlier, I hit up the music to loud and wild. Looking down on the people on the dancefloor, I know that this was what they we're looking for.
"Diego!" I hear their chants as I turned up the music more and more.
I'm known as Diego, the king of parties. Most of the people in this side of Chicago knows about my parties and hears about them whenever I host one. How do they do it? I even wonder 'til now.
How small was the city to have connections everywhere?
Well for connections, as a king, of course, I had to have my servants.
"You just called me something repugnant in that fucking head of yours didn't you?" Napalingon ako sa lalaking lumapit sa'kin dito sa booth na may dalang beer bottles.
"No." I denied. I set a few songs on the playlist to drag it out so I can step away for a moment and grabbed the bottle from his hand.
He scoffed, "It was plastered all over your face." I just laughed at Heath and held up the bottle to clink it with his.
Heath D'Angelo was a friend of a friend. He frequents my parties and we became closer because he does this at times—interrupts my shift and talks to me about stuff, well, girls most of the time.
"I don't think you're getting laid tonight." He pointed out the blonde that requested a segment earlier. She was now talking to Nikolaidis.
I clicked my tongue, "Why does he always go for the one I'm aiming for?" Rain Nikolaidis is also one of my friends. We're in the same ethics class but we got closer because he has nothing else better to do than linger around my parties just like Heath.
We're in like a bout of who gets the most girls out of the parties I host. He wants to see if my reputation precedes me, and of course, the king never backs down on wars he knows he can win.
Right now it's a 15-13, with me leading of course.
Heath laughed at me, "You're just slow, bud."
"Just to put it out there, I got her first." I drank from the bottle, "He just stepped in when I walked away." Sabay kaming napatawa nang lumingon si Rain sa gawi namin at ngumisi habang papaalis sila nung babaeng kausap ko kanina.
"Better luck next time, Archibald." To the mass, I'm know as Diego, but to my friends, I'm really just Archibald Miller.
"15-14 is still winnable." I placed the bottle on the table near us and headed back to the booth.
I spotted two girls grinding on each other at the dancefloor which made me lick my lips. I won't have a one-number gap in our competition.
I'm not called the king of parties for nothing.
