Thalia's POV
I stared at Percy curiously as he left the room. Still, he wasn't my priority, and my gaze averted to Annabeth. Who was reawakening. This time her eyes were grey. How did Percy do it?
We were all dead silent, we didn't really know what to say. We all had seen Percy comfort her, and then... Leave. Yet now, she was awake, and that- that thing, is gone.
I rushed over to Annabeth's side, as she began to focus on her surroundings. Her eyes were grey again, yes. But she seemed weakened, and as if she hadn't slept in days. I wondered what the hades that thing did to her, and how I could stop it.
She tried to say something, but her mouth was dry. "Can somebody get her some water?" I asked to no one in particular. I registered that someone left the side of the bed to fill up a cup.
"Percy..." Annabeth croaked out.I swallowed, "He- he just left." I muttered to her.
Her eyes widened, "W-what?!" She croaked again. Annabeth tried to heave herself up out of the hospital bed, but she was too weak and she collapsed back on the bed.
"Shh..." I soothed, "Hey, I'm here. Your friends are here. Don't worry."
Piper walked forward slowly, with Annabeth's water, and I helped her gulp it down. She wasn't given the chance to say anything before Will came, and suggested we leave her alone, so she could rest.
We all left the bed reluctantly, and Will closed the curtains around it. I sighed.
We walked outside the infirmary, and only then, did we start talking. "What the hades possessed Annabeth?" I asked urgently.
Piper looked around hopelessly. "I don't think any of us knows the answer to that, Thalia."
"Where's Chiron?" I asked impatiently.
Grover sighed, "He left just this morning with Mr D. They were having a meeting in Olympus."
I gritted my teeth. "Then what are we supposed to do?"
We all stood together silently.
"Hey," Jason said, after a while. "Where did Percy end up going?"
I rolled my eyes, "To his cabin? The beach? Literally anywhere, but I don't really care about Jason. Now isn't the time to be worrying about Percy, when Annabeth is in critical condition."
Jason shrugged, "We could at least tell him that she's alright."
I scoffed, "Do you really think he'll care, Jason? After months of hurting Annabeth, you seriously think he'll start worrying about her like that?" I snapped my fingers together at the word 'that'. Honestly, my brother could be so clueless at times.
Jason rolled his eyes, "Thals, he's the reason Annabeth is alright right now. Yeah, I get it. Percy really hurt Annabeth, but right now, Percy is the reason we have Annabeth, so can you suck up your stupid grudges, and actually see things in a reasonable perspective?"
I was speechless. It wasn't every day I was talked to like that, and I was guessing, in my lifetime (Which is scheduled to be quite long), that was going to be one of the best speeches I've ever heard.
"Fine." I said bluntly. "Rachel? Care to join me?"
"Of course, why not?" Rachel said sweetly, as she walked over to me.
We walked in the direction of the beach first, "You just had to drag me into this?" Rachel asked me sarcastically. I smirked, "Where's the fun in not doing that?"
