Chapter Thirty-Four

PERCY POV

Annabeth had decided to stay with Mum at the apartment. I understood how she saw a mother figure in my mum, and no, it wasn't simply because Annabeth and I used to be dating. I took a taxi back to camp.

All I could think about was what Annabeth wanted me to do. The first thing I did was try to find Nico. I looked all around camp before going and knocking on his cabin door. There was no answer. I knocked again and still no answer. I slowly opened the door and saw his cabin was empty. I rolled my eyes and groaned. Where was he?

Will would probably know. I made my way to the Apollo cabin, and knocked. It was opened by one of Will's sisters, Harper. 

"Hey Harper, do you know if Will is in there?" I asked her.
She shook her head, "He's not here, but if you're looking for him, he should be in the Infirmary."

I smiled and thanked her before walking to the Infirmary. I walked in, and looked for Will. There weren't any other Apollo cabin members in the Infirmary right now. All I could see were patients, and they were all resting or asleep. Finally, I saw Nico and Will at the last bed in the corner. Nico was sitting on one of the patient beds, crossed legged, while Will was rolling around on one of the spinney chairs.

Will didn't realise I was there until he nearly spun right into me. 

"Oh hey Perce!" Will said, climbing off his chair and sitting next to Nico.

"Hi," I replied.

"What do you need?" Will asked politely, "I am at your service as a doctor."

I smiled appreciatively but shook my head, "Sorry Will, but I'm here to talk to Nico."

Will frowned and tilted his head, "Um, sure. Do you want me to leave the room? Or-"

Nico interrupted him, "No babe it's fine. I'll meet you outside afterwards anyways and then we can go to lunch."

Will nodded and shrugged, "Sounds fine." He leaned next to him and gave Nico a peck on the cheek before leaving.

"So what do you wanna talk about?" Nico asked me, though I'm pretty sure he knows exactly what I wanna talk about.

"Annabeth." I told him. 
Nico already started to protest but I cut him off, "Look, Nico." I said. "A day ago- heck, even a couple hours ago I wouldn't have thought that there was anyway gaining your friendship back. But the only reason I'm here asking for your forgiveness is because Annabeth asked me to, and I'm going to do whatever it takes to get her back."

Nico pursed his lips.

I continued, "Listen, of course I want your forgiveness. I will always want you behind me Nico. But if it really comes down between me or Annabeth, I know you would choose Annabeth. So right now, if you won't forgive me for me, forgive me for Annabeth."

Nico swallowed, "Percy. You are a real dick for doing that to Annabeth."
"I know-"
"No no no! Don't you try to play the 'oh I know I did everything wrong' card! Because you didn't seem to care when you were with Drew! No matter whether you are with her now. You hurt Annabeth so fucking much and I wasn't even aware at the time to help her! Do you know how many people you affected because of that Percy?!"

I shook my head. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't cut it!"

"Well what can I say!?" I cried. "Please, Nico! Tell me, what can I say for you to forgive me?!"

Nico folded his arms. "You want me to forgive you?" He asked. I nodded. He tapped his foot on the ground, "Fine. I'll forgive you. Not now. Because that it way too much to ask. But give it time, and I will forgive you. But right now it is too fresh."
