Piece by Piece

"He stole you from me!"
My ex screamed, with great agony

No he didn't, you gave me up
You threw me away like a piece of crap

I begged you to forgive me
I pleaded for your mercy

You knew, i was scared of the darkness
But you left me when i was down on my knees
You stabbed me, how could one be so heartless?

Knowing you were my only light
My source of peace, my hearts delight

You knew everything but still, you choose to walk away
All your promises float astray

But he wasn't scared of my broken heart giving him a scar
He wasn't disgusted by my soul covered in scab

Piece by piece he restored my heart
He pulled me out of the painful rut
I'm sure He loves me, i have no doubt

And now once again I'm shiny and clean
You wanted me back you came running
