This poem was inspired by my favorite Korean television series
Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.
Even the deepest sorrow cant last a thousand years.
Even the most profound love cant last a thousand years
said the lonely Goblin who have outlived
All his loved ones. Now he is a fugitive
Who runs away from his past
But deep inside he knew this wouldn't last
The girl in front him, in a state of oblivion
Voted for sorrowful love, not knowing what was to come
In a blink of an eye her true love was gone
The goblin was erased, from the memories of all
She cried and cried, and cried some more
Her mind have forgotten, but her heart mourn
How painful to miss someone you don't remember
How sorrowful to love someone you don't even know
Ten years have passed and the wound is still raw
she awaits for her love perfectly groomed
On a snowy day flowers bloomed
Signaling her sorrow have come to an end
The goblin and his bride were finally united
But perfect doesn't last, now she have to go
To join the angles, her face aglow
Destined to be broken, destined to be in pain
He awaits for a thousand years , all over again.
