the wedding of my bride

I watched the love of my life, dressed in white
All i could see was her, locked in my sight
The feelings i buried deep, have started to ignite

You see... she was my bride but i wasn't hers
Hearing them exchange their vows was like a curse

I was the groom's best man, on a wedding that should have been mine
kept my mouth sealed, muffled my screams and whines
To get it out of my head, I've finished a bottle of wine
Even the sweetest drink tastes like a brine

Stomping my feet, whispering words of snide
Mad at my self for letting her slide
But if it makes her happy, i will gladly step aside
Even if it means attending the wedding of my bride

Even thou my heart, will never be at ease
I must keep it together, forever hold my peace
