Red Sunflower

A sun flower, born at a roses' land
While she felt like an outcast, a red paint come in hand
She painted her self red and joined their band

Disguising her self, into the rose that she is not
Believing her own lie, she gave it a shot

She covered her deepest secret, her darkest sin
The roses didn't give a damn, for who she was with in
All they care about, was the color of her skin
So this was how, the life of a red sunflower begin

After what feels like, a life time pass
She spotted yellow sunflowers, covering a landmass
That was when she looked in the mirror, instead of a glass

She was shaped as a sunflower, but crimson like a rose
She couldn't fit in, even if she tried a different pose

Now she belongs nowhere
She is a red sunflower
If only she knew a seer
She wouldn't change her self,
She wouldn't be here

Maybe someday, she might meet a rose painted yellow
Maybe then she will be at ease, she will feel mellow
