I can't sleep. It's been like this for a bit. I'm just... laying here. I'm feeling a bit thirsty, I might as well get water, what time is it, anyway? I turn to face my clock and it's... 2AM, shit. Have I really been up this long? Ugh. Whatever.

I get up and slowly walk over to the door. I open it slowly as to not make any noise. I walk down the stairs slowly, making slight creeks every few steps, I reach the bottom of the stairs and I hear a voice, it's my father.

I gasped quietly and slipped back onto the stairs as to not be seen. And I accidentally eavesdrop on something I obviously wasn't supposed to hear.

"So... how about Thursday night? Tony will be at his football game, and my wife's going to her best friends house. I'll be home all alone, and we can fool around."

What the fuck am I hearing? This better be out of context.

Tony had an idea, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and went into the voice recording app, and pressed record. Recording the rest of what his father had to say.

"I really hope I don't get weird looks while walking down the halls today." Anthony said in a tone suggesting he didn't want to draw attention to himself as he was packing his lunch.

"Don't worry honey, I'm sure no one knows-"

"You know how nosey people are in East Ville." Anthony replied to his mother with a sigh.

"Oh and we have to go to the store after you get out of school, I'll get you something to eat after." Esible said reassuringly.

"Thanks, mom." Anthony said, putting his backpack on, and he walked through the front door.

Anthony and Violet were walking to school as it was only a few short blocks away. Esible felt confident Anthony would be safe with another friend.

"So I asked him 'why another party thing?' And Henry told me Halloween was his favorite season and that he HAD to celebrate." Violet explained to Anthony.

"It's not like the rave was a holiday, or i'm missing a holiday from August 17th." Anthony replied with a chuckle, but they both stopped and turned around when they heard someone call out

"Wait up guys!" Yelled out Charlotte, and the other two turned around.

"I wonder where she's been." Violet whispered

"I don't know, we haven't talked to her in a bit." Anthony replied

"Hi, Charlotte! I haven't seen you in a bit." Anthony said when Charlotte started walking with them.

"I know, I'm sorry! I just tried to be hidden because of personal things."

"I understand." Anthony replied

"So, I know this probably isn't a good time to ask, but... were you the boy the newspaper was talking abou-"

"WHAT?!" Anthony yelled out, turning to Charlotte in a very fast motion.

People who were near them looked back and whispered things to each other. And Violet gave them a hand gesture that told them to mind their own business.

"You can't be- ugh I hate those nosey ass reporters." Anthony snarled, and Charlotte attempted to comfort him.

"Don't worry, we'll be with you if anyone gives you any 'strange' looks at school." Charlotte reassured, and Anthony rolled his eyes.

Anthony and his two other friends approached the school gate, and already, he could see people turn to their friends, whispering things into each other's ears. He could feel everyone's eyes on him as he walked through the hallway.
