The darkness of night concealed the presence of a boy running through the streets of East Ville.
Anthony was panting heavily as he ran to his home, he opened the side gate and immediately started climbing the vines that lead up to his window.
Once he had finally managed to open his window, he immediately went into his room and shut the window behind him. He took a moment to catch his breath, after he re gained his stamina, he walked over to his desk and placed the black bag on it.
He sat down and opened the black bag, and saw a small envelope that read
'For the Mayor only.'
Well, it was more than likely for Anthony to see, and was only used as a way to lure him to the Mayors home.
He opened the envelope and saw a picture that made his jaw drop. It was a picture of him approaching Victoria's body, from the time him and Violet found her body.
Anthony's perspective
With the way the picture looked, it could have easily been taken out of context and used against me... had they ever found Victoria's body? This is bad.
October 24th, 2036, 7:12 AM
Destinee walked into the school, she could feel everyone looking at her as she was walking down the halls. She heard people whispering as she made her way over to her locker.
Anthony looked over and saw Destinee looking through her locker, and he hesitated if he should try and talk to her. But then he remembered.
'Today's her birthday!' He reminded himself, and he approached Destinee, took a nervous gulp before he talked to her
"Hi Destinee! Happy bir-"
"Don't talk to me." Destinee stated abruptly, and Anthony was surprised by the hostility in her tone. She forcefully slammed her locker, which turned some heads as she walked away, leaving Anthony standing there in confusion.
He sighed as he turned around, but bumped into a familiar face.
"Oh, Jackie..." he said in a slightly suspicious tone, and she turned to see him, and she grew a surprised expression and replied
"Oh, hi!" In a cheerful tone, and Anthony asked
"You know Destinee, right?" For confirmation.
"Yeah, I'm one of her best friends." Jackie informed, and Anthony looked at her directly in the face, which caused chills to go down her spine.
"What happened to her?" He asked in a brisk voice, and Jackie looked around for a second and whispered
"Not here, follow me." As she gave him a hand motion that said to follow her.
"Ok Bubbles, you got the notes with you right?" Ava asked for confirmation as they walked up to the second floor.
"Yep! Right here!" Bubbles exclaimed happily, as he pulled out his notepad that had a list of notes.
"Great! Now we just need to tell either Anthony or Violet what we found out!" Ava exclaimed cheerfully, and Bubbles agreed, nodding to Ava as they split off. He was walking to his first period class, until he heard two students having a conversation that caught his attention.
He stopped walking when he heard one of them say
"Did you hear what happened at the Mayor's house last night?" The boy asked the girl as they stood in the hallway.
"No? What happened?" She asked in a curious and slightly concerned tone
"Someone broke in and... stole a valuable piece of information regarding the killer." He informed quietly, just barely audible for Bubbles to hear. Bubbles gasped quietly, but still listened to their conversation.
