Dala dala ang isang duffle bag ay lumabas na ako ng aking silid. Hindi ko na mabilang kung ilang malalalim na hininga ang pinakawalan ko. It can't be that bad.

"You ready?" tanong ni ate Emm pagkakita niya sa akin. Kuya Traq is smiling at me widely.

"You look nervous," sabi ni Kuya Traq still wearing his goddamned smile.

"No I don't."

"Yes you do."

"Tara na nga. You guys will fight na naman," ate Emm said and took my duffel bag from me. Binigay niya ito kay Kuya na agad na umakbay saakin. I probably look like a kid beside him.

"Don't be nervous. It's a great place. And besides we'll go there eventually" he said while we were walking towards our car. It's a matte black jeep wrangler. I'll miss this car.

"Except for the fact that I'll be alone for months in a place I haven't even seen in pictures. And I'll miss my friends here," I stated while opening the car door.

"You'll have new friends there," he said as if friends are just toys I could easily buy. Tinignan ko muli ang mansion namin kung saan ako lumaki. I can't believe that I'm leaving.

"Don't be sad bunso, you'll be staying at a much bigger place there." sabi ni ate nang makita na tumitingin ako sa mansion namin.

"It's not that ate. Hindi naman iyon ang inaalala ko. I'll just miss home," I took a one last glance and got inside the car closing the door shut behind me. Sumunod naman silang dalawa sa akin with ate seated on the driver's seat and kuya at the shotgun.

"Come on. It was more like a training ground than a regular house." Kuya glanced back at me and gave me another duffle bag. I looked at him confused,

"This isn't mine."

"Halata ba?" he rolled his eyes at me.

"So?"

"That is going to be your clothes. I know how you dress and it isn't allowed to be wearing such... things there."

"I'm confused. What's wrong with my jeans and shirt?" ate just laughed at me. She glanced at me from the rear mirror and grinned.

"oh honey, stop the questions and you'll see it yourself. Just brace yourself though there's going to be a big adjustment. And there's no phone there by the way, so you can't contact your friends. Did you call them na?" I thought about my friends that I'll be leaving behind. The life that I'll be leaving behind. I always knew that this would happen but it's still too sudden.

"Of course she called them. I heard her crying last night" Ba't ang epal ni Kuya ngayon? He seems to be having fun of my situation.

"Shut up Traq . I wasn't crying. Si Rav lang ang tinawagan ko. I told him to tell the others. " Marami akong mga kaibigan at ayoko ng mahabang pagpapaliwanag tungkol rito because I don't want anymore lies. Rav is the only person that knows the truth and I know he's going to make up some kind of excuse for me. I won't be seeing them anymore anyway. And I really don't wanna get emotional on it. I don't want to.

"So you told Rav to lie for you? And manners Herm, this kid is older than you."

"I'm soooo not a kid," hindi ko na pinansin si kuya.
