"Are you sure?"

I asked for the fifth time. The third Prince was becoming impatient as time flew by and I still cannot agree on going back to the castle. I want to find that kid. If he doesn't know anything, then I'll give up and go to Manila in peace. I just can't let the opportunity of finally knowing the reason behind my abilities just slip away. If the kid knows something, anything at all, whether it may be about my abilities or the royal assassination, I need to a least try and ask him. I need to find him.

"Yes. But there are also legends that tells that the child died right after his birth. But nonetheless, it's still pretty dead." He nonchalantly said and yawned. He didn't look tired, he looked bored. If only I know the place better than he does, I could've done this myself. This Prince is such a nagger.

"Then who was that kid?" I asked. 

Was I wrong? Was thinking that maybe I could find the answers through the visions a mistake? Then why was it shown to me? Reese told me something about my mother wanted me to seek. Something about my mother's past. What does it mean? What do the visions imply?

"I don't know? Maybe it was purely a coincidence. For all I know, it probably meant nothing Princess."

"But the kid knew something about the legends. Maybe he does know something about these abilities, or maybe even about the death of my parents!" I urged, still not able to let go of the idea. Maybe it's because of my instinct or maybe I just don't have any ideas left.

After two weeks of searching for more clues and leads, we have nothing. No one knows who the soldiers that attacked the Kingdom of El Suelo are. No one knows where they came from. Nath and the entire pixie coterie have fled the Kingdom. And we have no full access on the three passages that would connect La Belleza El Tierra to the outside world. Which would mean that if an enemy goes inside the passage, we would not be aware of it.

The last time I saw her was from the night of the war, in the infirmary. Ate Emm was devastated when she told me about it. Nath was a great friend of hers. I couldn't say the same. The pixie acted really anxious and fidgety after I told her that I have talked to Reese Coldwell. She never spoke to me ever since. There was something in her eyes that reflected so much fear and anger. Whatever her deal with the pixie that guards the well, she pretty much knew who to blame. Unfortunately, it was directed at me. Sheesh.

"And so do I. Almost everyone in La Belleza El Tierra whispers about the legends. Look, I understand that having these exquisitely different abilities makes you wonder what it means and what your true identity is but do you know  what I think?" I raised my head only to see him gazing at me fondly in the eyes with a small smile on his face. For a split second, I saw Prince Galen looking at me with his kind eyes. I blinked twice and felt goosebumps all over my body.

"What?" I asked, my voice hoarse from the strange feeling that seeped right into me. I'm starting to think that we should probably go back to the castle. I must be tired. I'm having crazy hallucinations.

"I think that you are a great person. No matter what you have or what they think. Having this kind of ability is a gift Princess, do not look at it as a curse. You're bothered because you want to use your abilities when the real fight begins, right? But what if there is nothing worth fighting for? What if it's just better to leave the past behind and move forward? Stop living in the past Princess."

"You don't understand. I can't just easily forget that both of my parents were murdered. Bakit ba lahat nalang kayo ay paulit ulit na pinipilit na dapat kailimutan nalang ang nakaraan? The past is what shaped our current present. And this present involves the royal assassination. Yet you want me to just throw my parents out of the bus just because it's stressing me out? I will claim justice for their deaths or die trying." I stood up from the wooden chair and faced him with a determined look on my face.
