Breakfast was drop dead silent.
All three of them sat at their respective spots.
Richard at the far end while Dawn was way across him and finally Gloria in the middle of the two.
All three of them were tensed about something.
Gloria's ashamed and burnt nature of being brushed off by Richard. She was so humiliated afterwards, that she ran up to her room and locked herself up.
Dawn refused to acknowledge anything heavy settling in the air.
She simply remained immune and quietly ate her scrambled eggs and two rye bread toast and finally washing it down with some orange juice.
Richard however was in a very very bad mood.
Two main reasons.
First, after he was disposed like trash by Dawn he went straight to his office. His mind in anguish fever.
He couldn't not stop thinking about what went down between them in the laundry room.
It's official. The laundry room will never be reopened. He was shutting it down, preserving its lush mementos.
He clenched his jaw as he looked at Dawn, who looked so calm and controlled. Like she wasn't even affected by the whole situation.
While he wanted more. He needed more.
He wanted to throw a fucking tantrum like a two year old toddler who had his toy snatched. Indeed, his most desirable toy had been taken away from him and without his permission.
When she got up to leave, as an idiot he stood up as well. Adding to the mortifications, she didn't even nod at him, or showed him that she appreciated his chivalry.
No matter what a scoundrel Richard was, his mother had always raised and taught him good manners. Be kind and chivalrous to ladies.
Well, he interpreted them all in his own way.
He was chivalrous to only to one lady and he planned on never to be kind to her after the way she treated him.
When she watched her back sway, the ass he had clenched in his fingers, her flesh he could still feel in his palms, his lips curled in distress.
He rubbed the heels of his palms in his eyes.
Sleep eluding him.
He had tossed and turned as he was up all night and finally gave up, to finish up some more work.
Speaking of work, his eyes slides to Gloria who quietly ate. The flush down her cheeks marked her embarrassing behavior. Not only that, he had dug up some stuff about her.
Apparently, his father told him after the private investigator was hired to track Gloria's ex boyfriend, Zach down. He found out that the bitch kept meeting him occasionally at a sleezy coffee shops in the downtown area.
Pictures were snapped and confirming something was cooking and Richard was worried.
This is the next problem.
He hates unnecessary useless nonsense that takes his attention from himself and his work.
He didn't have the time to deal with some fraudulent friend trying to spoon and spook out some money from him.
Aware of Gloria's intentions, Robert's initial thought was them trying to steal from his son.
Though he may have problem with Richard being uncouth in many ways but it came handy in special ways.
