"Have a great game!" I yell as I ended my call with Nathan. Today was another one of his playoff games, but will be the first one that I miss. Well at least the first one that I missed since we got back together.
Ever since we got back together we had much better communication and better balance. I was able to concentrate on studying, hanging out with friends, volunteering and planning a great event for my residence. At the same time I was able to spend time with Nathan. Being with him did not feel like a drug but more like the cherry on top of a really productive week.
It was also easy to spend time with him because my friends loved him. Nathan and Victoria got along really well and so did Nathan and Henry. Henry and Jasmine went on a couple of dates and they seem to be love at first sight, kind of like me and Nathan. Though me and Nathan took longer. The only thing we had in common really was that both of us fell quickly for our men and both of our men were amazing loving people.
Nathan was also doing really well with the playoffs. His team had won every game by a far distance leading people to say that they were going to win the finals this year. The only thing I got do is hope and pray and be there supporting him.
It was amazing being in the audience watching him play and then going back to his place after the game and just spending time with each other. Though we still have not had sex again. I was thinking that that could be a great way to celebrate his victory.
Today was the first playoff game I was not going to see Nathan play in because it was girls night. Yes Jasmine still had to cheer for the team, as girls night do not outweigh playoff games, but it could still be as fun with Victoria.
The thing I love about Nathan is that he understands how important girls night is. I remember telling him a couple of days ago that I was not able to come to his game. It was in the middle of us watching The Blind Side and just enjoying each other's company over Chinese food at my place.
"Hey babe." I said as I watched Nathan really be into the movie. He told me this was one of his favourite movies and one of the best ways to help him build up stamina and energy during a gruelling playoff season.
"Yes?" Nathan said while rubbing my leg. We were lying down top and tail as I used his strong butt as a pillow.
"I really really like you. You know that right?" I said starting it out easy trying to push back me telling him I could not go.
"I like you to babe." He said facing back to the TV.
"Yea I really like you and that's why it pains me to say this." I said as I looked at him with a serious but painful expression.
"You can tell me anything." He said as he lowered the TV and sat up.
"Well I can't go to your playoff game." I said quickly. He looked at me for an explanation or a reason. "The thing is that's girls night and I love watching you play but it's still girls night. It's important to me. I'm sorry."
"I completely understand. Your friends are important to you and you are important to me so I understand." Nathan said patting my legs.
"Are you sure? I'm really sorry." I said as I sat up.
"No worries. As much as I love you the idea of you being my personal cheerleader, trust me when I say I would love that you being a cheer uniform." He said making me take a pillow from the sofa above us and hit him with it. "Moving on. This isn't that kind of relationship. This is a mutual relationship. That means that what matters to you, matters to me and thus I think you doing girls night is really great."
"Thanks." I said stopping myself from telling him that I love him. I scooted closer to him and we ended up finishing the movie chest to chest which I liked much better.
