Rei did everything she could to get him off her mind, dwelling on fantasy as beautiful as it was would not do her any good. He was as forbidden to her as she was to him. They were strangers, intensely attracted to each other but they each belonged to themselves. Rei sighed as she sipped on her coffee and got ready for her day job, after making sure to check in with her aunt and make sure Jamie was doing well. Her aunt was somewhat more merciful on allowing her to stay informed on his status.
After making sure to look as corporate and cold as possible she headed out to work. It was amazing how much her appearance differed from that of the one she wore every other night. Rei was like night and day, a duality. Yet, Rei could not leave either life, for she was still trying to find herself, and oh gods how she loved to dance.....especially for someone like him
Rei shook her head and tried to remain focused as she drove to her office. She was a member of BGM Finland and knew that she had to remain focused. Today was important she had gotten a text from her superior, stating that he was in talks with an important band in Finland. They were called HIM and they played love metal. They were looking for a new team member to help them during their tour.

Love metal, it sounded exciting and new and interesting, she thought. Yet she was not there to chat, and listen to music, but to help set up tours, concerts, help manage the band's affairs and be a professional. Even though Rei was a record manager, she had so much free time that she liked to delve into many roles. She did not want to spend too many hours at home alone locked in misery.
Rei walked into her blank white and black office and sat behind her desk ready to meet her boss. He wanted to discuss the importance of this new deal before she or anyone in the team got involved."You are early today!", Nikolas her manager said as he walked in.
"I understand today is an important day sir, so I had to be here early," Rei said smiling curtly. "It is, I was hoping we could meet the band in the conference room. They are here and are ready to start, shall we go," he said as Rei nodded and followed him.

She wasn't sure if her heart or her breath stopped functioning first, or if she skipped several of them. It was him, the man from last night and he was sitting there in all his glorious radiance and mysterious self with his bandmates. "Rei, what is wrong it's like you have seen a ghost?"
She quickly gained her composure. She could not afford to let the man suspect he knew her. She hoped to god he did not recognize her as those green eyes met her dark brown ones."So here we are I apologize for the delay let's get started," Nikolas said.
"So gentlemen you said you are looking for a new public image management member, who can manage you here in Finland?" Nikola said as they delved deeper into the discussion. All this time Rei had done everything in her power to remain monotone, take notes, and respond only when spoken to. Yet it was hard to have him so close, especially when he stole glances her way.
"You said you had someone reputable for the job?" he said his voice velvet, dark, and baritone, his name was Ville Valo. He was the lead singer of the band called HIM, short for His Infernal Majesty.
"Well yes, since over the past few days your manager and I have discussed monetary details, and legalities I thought I would introduce you to someone who would be a great addition to your team. Please allow me to introduce you to Rei London," he said to which her face almost turned white.
It was not that she was not ready for the job. There was just one issue, she had not counted on this circumstance. What if he had recognized her and all this time he had just kept a poker face?
"A pleasure Ms. London" Ville said shaking her hand as they stood up to greet each other. It seemed he did not recall her or suspect anything. Yet her skin lit on fire at his touch and she had to summon all of her control to not press her hips against his or find out how soft those devilish lips felt.
"Likewise" was all she managed to say as she shook hands with the rest of the team which was looking at her as if confused. Her odd nervousness was unnerving. "Are you sure you are up for the job? you look as if you want to run from here?" Ville said giggling in a laugh so cute it twisted her stomach into a bubble of butterflies and made her clear her throat.

"I am quite sure of my abilities to thank you, sir," she said. "I am quite the perfectionist darling I hope you are as good as they say," he said his smile peeking out making her simmer in anger. Was he teasing her, did he sense how nervous he was making her?
The entire process was long and every time she had to talk to him she had to try hard not to blush, to which he would respond by giggling and teasing her. If she did not get over herself she was going to lose her job, and Jamie needed her.
The goodbye's the appointments and having to shake hands again was torture, as she tried to control her lustful instincts which he was awakening. In fact, the whole day was long and dreary... she needed advice, she decided to call Angel.
What in the world was he doing to her? She was not the type to have one-night stands or to fall that quick but he was dangerous beautifully dangerous and she had to make sure to set boundaries, even if all she wanted was to get close.
