Part 14: Little did we know

Isn't it funny how our beingness were left unnoticed by us?
Isn't it funny how I didn't even know your surname?
I bet, even you didn't.
You were the quiet, sincere kid,
So was I...
Oblivious of the craze awaiting for us.
Fate made us meet,
Though we didn't know how to greet.
It was awkward,
Yet endearing.
It was a connection,
A platonic desiration.
I know, I was rude,
Failed to trust.
I know, I was cold,
Just had an awful past.
Slowly, we spoke.
Impatience to speak more
Often poked.
Little by little,
Very slowly,
We opened up.
Credits to the late night chats,
Break times
And computer classes
To bind us into one bond,
To make us laugh at the same meme,
To make us trust each other to the extreme.
You comforted me,
Gave me my zone,
Broke my bubble
And made me feel secure.
I gave you a place to speak,
To rip your heart open
Without being judged.
Thank you, a genuine one..
Do you remember the day we played football with words?
Do you remember the day we kept on saying 'Okay'?
Do you remember the day we flooded our chat box with emoticons?
Do you remember the day we yelled at each other through screens?
Yeah, maybe my memory is vague,
The eighteenth stall on heaven isn't that good as well.
I hate that we are paired up,
The existence of platonic love is yet to be discovered.
Maybe we can do that..
Slowly.
Just the way we were formed,
You and me,
Cohered into one bond.
The universe works really slow,
Let's give it time,
To connect every star
And to make us a part of it.
After all,
Little did we know,
Little did we know that we would be something more than friends,
Little did we know that we could be best friends..
That 'Always and Forever' could be our way of promise,
We didn't know..
Even if you forget to remember me,
I promise to always love you,
Always remember you.

I wanted to write so many things and I had so many ideas but I failed to frame it. Bruhh!
School has begun and... don't y'all think that the schools are giving us more homework these days?

I wrote this today morning when I bunked my history class ;-P

I dedicate this poetry to one of the most important people of my life. My best friend KorakBasu . Even though you are an idiot, it's difficult for me to admit but you are the best. Even though I've said 'I hate you' a million times, trust me, I love you(in a platonic way). Even though you piss me off sometimes and make my mood crappy, I love you because afterwards you make me laugh with your stupid sense of humour. Even though you've hurt me a lot of times, I'll choose you as my best best friend over every other  friend. You Terrible Hooman, are the worst friend I have EVER got! But thank you(Don't give me those angry emojis later on), thank you for everything you've done. Thank you for allowing me to be myself around you. Thank you for making me feel comfortable around people. Love you!
