Part 10: Mom

You're so stupid mom,
Yet so amazing.
You're so outdated mom,
Yet so funny.
You're so annoying at times,
But you never fail to make me smile.
You might not know how to type quick,
But your recipes are my ultimate pick!
You might not have a lot of degrees,
Yet you are my favourite teacher, mom.
You might be really simple,
But there's no better stylist I know, other than you.
You might not be the best at art,
Yet your embroideries top the chart!
I might be rude to you sometimes,
But mom, I would rather die,
Than not have you beside me.
I might get angry when someone speaks wrong about you,
But mom, it's all because I love you.
I hate it when tears swell up your eyes.
I hate it when your big smile turns into a faint, forced one.
I hate it when you ignore yourself for us.
I hate it when you overwork yourself for us.
I wonder, do we really deserve a mom like you?
You are beautiful, mom.
You are wonderful, mom.
Your smile is my favourite smile.
Your tears are my worst nightmares.
Your hugs are the ones I need after a tough day.
I might not be the best daughter, mom
But I promise to try to be the one you expect me to be.
I really love you mom,
My best friend!

Mum,
I know you'll not read this but I still wanna say that I love you much more than you can imagine. I really don't deserve you. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for always being my best friend. Thank you for always listening to me no matter what. I might not be the best daughter, but I can be the best best friend you'll ever get, you know mum?  I know we sometimes argue like kids but hey dad thank you too for dealing with our childishness and making us shake hands to reunite. Happy Best Friends Day Mum!  Okay now to celebrate this auspicious day, I need a chocolate. Looking forward to it. Hahahaha! ;-P

I dedicate this poem to the most important person in my life, my mum. Not that I don't love my dad, of course I do lol. But mum, she is just something else. She has been with me through everything. She has been my greatest motivator. Without her telling me to write more, I would not be here today, writing for so many people to read. If it hadn't been she who encouraged me to never give up, trust me, I would have given up. Infact if it hadn't been she who supported me and shielded me from my fears, I wouldn't have been here. I would have been at some corner, alone. It isn't her birthday. It isn't mother's day either. But I think, everyday is mother's day so if we think that way, I am posting this on mother's day. I wanted to write something about her for many days but my brain was too tired and lazy to function hahahaha.

Okay I wrote way too much than I intended to. Sorry ;-P
