an ingenious display of masterpieces. those were the exact words that had come out of the pinwheel photography gallery boss's mouth. seungcheol had never seen the man so enthusiastic about the bright and colorful collection he brought for their next concept: "flourishing vibrantly".the male never thought the works of an amateur such as himself would have beem that impressive, yet his boss was ecstatic to show off all his pieces as the main attraction. the photographer was left speechless as the other had walked off with his camera to get the photos ready.
not knowing what to do next, seungcheol decided to leave. the process for getting the photos ready would take the rest of the day, and plus with the news of pinwheel's viewing of the new display being the week after his photoshoot with mingyu, he had nothing else to do.
he decided to send a quick message to the groupchat with himself, jeonghan, and joshua before heading over to their apartment. a smile formed slowly on his face by just the thought of the duo. it was a strange feeling, being around them for only two days and suddenly having an fondness for the two, but he loved everything about it.
the giddiness but shy feeling he got when he was around the two. they had all clicked so quickly, normally being a hard thing with seungcheol's social issues, yet he felt so close with both. either way, this new found friendship gave him some attractive friends so he wasn't complaining.
the black haired male walked about three blocks before he finally arrived at the apartment complex. opening the door to the main building and jogging to the elevator to get to the duo's room faster.
finally in front of their door, seungcheol knocked lightly on the light colored wood. feom behind the wall, he could hear muffled talking and pacing around the rooms. it took only a couple of minutes for one of the males to answer, giving the photographer a gentle smile as he looked at him.
"cheollie! how did it go with your boss? were the photos okay?" asked the light brown haired male, he felt eager to know what happened when the photographer came up to his door practically beaming.
seungcheol jumped happily as he held joshua's hand, "i'll tell you and hannie inside!" he spoke, letting the soft male lead him into the duo's uncluttered apartment. the pale white walls perfectly blended with the dark wooden furniture in their home.
it was the type of home you would see in a magazine, unreal and definitely not long lasting for messy people like himself. given the two's always clean yet gentle looking appearance, it was a home that definitely suited the boys.
seungcheol thought about the amount of cleaning they must do just to keep their home so spotless, he felt embarrassed looking at his own currently messy home. obviously not trying hard enough to even unpack and get settled, instead he spent it at a better looking apartment he could easily ruin.
the male who answered the door led them both to the living room where they saw jeonghan filing out paperwork. upon hearing their echoing footsteps, he looked up from the stack of papers on the coffee table and smiled at the boys.
"cheol seems to be in a good mood, did something happen?" jeonghan asked.
excitedly, the black haired male pulled joshua to the couch the blond was on, his fluffy curls bouncing as he sat in between them. "my boss called my photos an 'ingenious display of masterpieces', he's never said that to any of my works before. i cannot thank you both enough" he said happily.
the duo were unexpectedly pulled into a tight hug, seungcheol hiding his face but the two smiled at the enthusiastic boy.
"we should watch a movie or something to celebrate then!" joshua spoke up, lifting the photographer's head up and giving him a gentle smile, "hannie would still do his work, but we can enjoy most of it together"
"sure!" seungcheol exclaimed and let the male turn on the t.v. they browsed through shows and movies till the photographer saw one that caught his eye. the male scrolling had also laid eyes on the exact same one.
joshua and seungcheol glanced at each other sheepishly before clicking the show and hearing the familiar theme song play. the show? obviously one they haven't caught up with in an extremely long time.
"the last time i watched pokemon was when i was six, i had no idea they were still continuing the series" seungcheol said while watching the main character and his electric mouse pop up. the show seeming a lot more cartoonish than before but nonetheless still enjoyable.
the brown haired male let out a chuckle at the response, "same here, i wonder if ash ever won at a pokemon league. dude's been at it for years now" he told the other.
both boys shared a good amount of laughs within the first five episodes they watched together. of course, it wasn't until they started another when jeonghan finished all his work and finally took to notice what they were watching.
"is that pokemon? i thought you would pick something with real people" the blond stated, receiving a pout from his roommate.
"try watching an episode, maybe you'll like it and stop judging" joshua whined, holding the photographer in his arms as they averted their attention back to the show when they saw ash was challenging another trainer to a battle.
it only took minutes for the angelic-like male to get hooked on the show, his mouth partly opened as he stared intensely at the scene playing. the boy was so distracted that even the quiet giggles of the other two didn't disturb him, and they weren't hiding their stares and occasional loud laughs.
"do you still want to watch that real people movie hannie?" seungcheol said with a giggle. the blonde whipped his head around at the sound of his name and had an awkward, flustered expression.
"okay, so maybe it isn't that bad, but the new concept they did wasn't as eye-catching. it's interesting now" jeonghan responded.
joshua leaned over the photographer to punch the angelic male's arm, "told you" he teased.
together, the three leaned on each other as they laughed and smiled over a show of their childhood. of course, they couldn't have been morw happier in each other's arms than at that moment. even if they didn't realize the feelings blooming among them.
for now, all that mattered were the shy brushes against each other's shoulders and small glances. it was those moments that made everything matter right now.
