the sun had fallen greatly by the time they arrived at the place, a building similar to the structure of a palace. only a few parking spots remained, making it a bit more difficult to find a space, but after some driving, they managed to get on near the back of the lot. when the photographer got out, he glanced around the area for a sign indicating what it was, but he was unable to find any.
instead of trying to figure it out, he took his camera, and let the duo lead him around, after all, it was their surprise for him. they went up two flights of stairs, a hedge garden surrounding them like you would see in castles. flora was in between certain sections of the bushes, shaping small plant boxes, and due to the time of day, lights wedged into the floor were on and brightening the pathway up to the giant building.
huge pillars welcomed them to the chalk, white structure and the doors were opened by the staff as if they knew their exact time of arrival. jeonghan had let go of his grip on the two boys and went up to one of the workers, greeting himself and letting them know his name. hearing the familiar name be spoken out, the boy watched as the people quickly let the three in, telling them to enjoy.
upon entering, the photographer knew exactly what the place was. with artifacts around every corner and a huge map right in front of them showing the different room exhibits, the building was no doubt a museum. of course, seungcheol was stoked about it, his already peak interest behind each object's story had him filled with excitement. not to mention the other events that happen in the building could be part of the surprise the two mentioned.
joshua, who noticed the male's wandering eyes, squeezed the boy's hand tightly. "i'm sure you're excited cheollie, but save that energy for the main event. of course, we have to wait a bit so we can explore and check out everything before it starts!"
the boy nodded in response, before looking up at both of them, "let's go?" he asked, extending both arms for them to hold on to him. the photographer grew to love having both boys hold his hands, and they never said no to him, always having a firm grip on the black haired male as they explored the museum.
the three had taken all the time in the world, checking every single room and taking photos of each other with the artifacts, especially with the large dinosaur exhibit. each area having its own beauty and uniqueness that really bought the trio and many others to the place. by the end of their small adventure, it had gotten pretty late. the small windows above them looking pitch back from the dark sky.
a sudden announcement filled the entire building, incoherent for the photographer, but not from the roommates, judging by their exchanged looks and smiles. they pulled seungcheol towards a room he had not noticed when they first entered, a separate area closed off by a velvety rope. staff wearing a different uniform from the one he saw at the entrance let them in.
it was almost like an auditorium, dim and filled with rows of seats that led almost touched the ceiling. a projector laid right in front of these chairs, even the ceiling seemed like it would show something judging by the lighting. without any questions, the photographer sat down next to the two front center, following as they tilted their seats back.
"hannie, shua" the black haired man whispered, glancing over at the workers who shut the doors they previously opened for them, "what is this place?"
jeonghan suddenly pointed up at the roof, "it's an artificial galaxy just for you" he spoke up, "of course, every galaxy belongs to the universe. that's you for us"
then the brow haired boy stopped the angelic blonde, staring at seungcheol with the brightest smile, "you're our whole universe. both of us can speak for ourselves when we say you make us complete. cheollie..." he trailed off, his voice cracking slightly, "we're so in love with you"
the black haired male froze, his heart pounding. he felt breathless, tearing up from the situation, and feeling overwhelmed by the sudden confession. "i love you both too" he managed to speak out, "so much, you both make my heart race from every sweet gesture you do, please, loving you has brought me nothing but happiness"
the blonde male stood up to holding both boys in a tight hug. emotions bursting out from the simplest form of contact. the three fragile in each others arms, ready to shatter in each others' arms with soft trickles of water falling down their cheeks when any feel ready to speak out.
finally, lifting his head out of the soft, blonde locks he buried himself in, joshua rose the two male's heads. "cheol, would you like to be with us as boyfriends, partners, whatever you want to be labelled with us as. hannie and i aren't that experienced with relationships so we can take things as slow as you'd like"
firmly grabbing onto both of the boys' hands, he stared up at them with his eyes brightened by the scene above them. the look of excitement and nervousness fell across his face yet his eyes looked just as they had the day of the photo shoot. the stars projected above them reflected onto them, seeming as if constellations were plastered on. just one look and they couldn't help, but hold on to the other tighter to hide what would've been one of their brightest smiles.
"then let's be together, the three of us" seungcheol spoke slowly, unable to find better words to speak out his mind properly. yet they could read his exact thoughts, the black haired male's large doe eyes speaking for themselves.
jeonghan then took a seat and stared up at what was their own night sky. perfectly showing the milky way and the billions of stars, both small and large, scattered in bunches across the sky. to make this scene even more realistic, the occasional shooting star shot across the artificial night. it was an extremely beautiful sight and if anyone could stretch their arm out, it'd be as if they were outside viewing this magnificent scene.
so the three decided to sit there in silence and admire the night sky for the remainder of the time. joshua letting the boy know the place was a planetarium, meant for viewing what you could never in a city. the photographer liked that idea, it wasn't too far away from civilization and was perfect for sweet moments like this. he would've never expected a confession like that, but then again, the two did pick the perfect moment, and he couldn't ask for another way for someone to confess such profound feelings that way.
by the time the small show had ended, they left the palace like building and went to the parking lot in search for the familiar while vehicle. none spoke a word, not that it was necessary. they all felt content and tired from the day's adventure, and ready to get sleep and take all the time in the world to get back home.
the photographer then looked up from the comfort of jeonghan's car's backseat. the dark night sky was different, tinted and faded from the city lights. only few stars were up that night despite the location of this small town, it made the black haired male smile, knowing he got to see the night like no one could ever. who knows, maybe one day he'd see it for real.
for now, the one thing he felt like doing was resting. only this time he'd be in the arms of his two partners.
