The next few days come and go pretty quickly. My weekend is spent hanging out with Daisy, John and Oscar. I occasionally run into Adam and we make small talk, but I haven't gotten to spend much time with him since the night out on town.
The thought of him walking me back floods my mind, his arm wrapped around me in an attempt to keep me warm. Or the site of him in the elevator, leaned against the wall with his hands in his pockets. It's barely been a week and I could feel the terrifying feeling of me falling.
It's true, I fall easy and I fall fast. Which is why I have always kept to myself and focused on work. A couple bad heartbreaks were enough to make me run with my tail tucked anytime a guy asked me out.
But this, this is different. My mind can't stop wandering to Adam. And with this new job, and having to work so closely with him, it almost seems inevitable.
It's Monday morning finally, my first official day of work. I wake up at 6Am, giving myself enough time to prepare for the day. I have to be at the makeup trailer by 8AM every morning.
I start with a shower to wake my sense up. Getting out, I apply my makeup. A small amount of foundation, eyeliner and some mascara; keeping it simple. I blow dry my hair and straighten it, heading toward my closet.
I pull out a pair of skinny blue jeans, sporting it with a black tank top tucked in, and a cute emerald sweater cardigan. I cuff my jeans at the bottom, exposing my ankles and slip into a pair of black vans shoes.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I'm satisfied. I look cute and stylish, yet feel comfortable for the long day ahead. I grab my purse, making sure I have all of my belongings and I spray a little perfume on before leaving my room.
I walk through the lobby littered with people, and make my way toward the cafeteria. I shove a bottle of orange juice into my purse for later and grab a cup of coffee. I decide on a muffin or a bagel, and start eating it as I make my way back outside.
It's a beautiful morning, the sun is shining bright. It's a bit chilly but as the day goes on, the sun should shed some warmth.
I follow the line of people down the path on the hill beside our hotel, heading toward the dock. There's a ferry that runs back and forth all day to the secluded island where most of the filming takes place.
I find a seat on the top deck of the ferry and sit. I watch out on the water as I nibble my muffin and take a sip of the steaming coffee. The hot drink mixed with the cool morning air is such a delightful feeling. I could get used to this view every morning.
I finish my breakfast by the time the boat docks on the island, it's only a short 10 minute ride, and I discard my trash into a nearby bin.
I walk around set, getting acquainted with where things are. I make my way toward the trailers, finishing the last of my coffee. I find the one that's labeled for makeup, and take a deep breath.
Opening the door, I walk inside and look around. It's small but still comfortable. There's a wall with a large mirror that extends across it, a counter attached and two chair facing it. There's a couch along the opposite wall with two small end tables. A few shelves line the wall. And in the corner is a small bathroom.
"There she is!" A voice shouts excitedly and I look up to the man I hadn't noticed before. He looks to be middle aged, maybe 30s but he looks good. He has blonde hair that is gelled and combed back, striking blue eyes and he wears thick framed glasses.
"I'm Oliver! You can call me Ollie. You're Maddy right? I've been so excited to meet you ever since they told me I was getting a new girl!" He comes up to me, giving me a tight hug and kisses both of my cheeks. He's wearing khaki slacks, a light blue button up shirt and a bright yellow sweater cardigan.
