Author POV
Mr. Jeon had asked Jungkook to get ready on Saturday morning, he was to dress himself semi-formally and be downstairs by 10 am sharp.
The alpha decided for a navy blue long sleeve top and black slacks, he was sure his family was attending some kind of business breakfast. He went into his oldest brother's room to check what he was wearing walking right in without knocking, he knew Namjoom hated that. To Jungkook's surprise his brother was still in bed, it was only ten minutes until they had to leave. "Joon! Wake up before dad comes in here and drags you out of the bed himself."
"What are you talking about its Saturday why would i get up at 9 am?" The elder mumbled under the covers.
"Dad said we needed to be down stairs dressed decently by 10, its already 9:50 Joon." The younger reiterated.
"No he didn't. He hasn't been in here Guk."
Jungkook was confused, he walked from Namjoon's room into Hoseok's, who was also lost deep in slumber. "Hyung, get up we'll be late." Jungkook almost pleaded.
"Hmmmm." Hoseok stood up almost by intertia went to his closet and began to look for clothes. Jungkook was relieved as he saw his brother was also coming along, he sat on his brother's bed and waited to see what he would be wearing.
Hobi grabbed a shirt and went for his phone, he looked at it eyes still trying to focus on the time and date. He groaned and flung his shirt at the younger. "Guk it's Saturday stop playing." Hobi climbed right back into the warmth of his bed.
"Dad didn't come in here to ask you to be ready by 10?" The youngest alpha questioned.
"No Guk why would he?"
Jungkook left Hobi's room and started downstairs towards the living room where his father would be waitimg for him. He couldn't think of a reason his dad would want Jungkook semi-formally dressed at such an early time of the day on a weekend.
As he neared the living room he could hear his parents speaking, his heart dropped as he heard his father mention something about business and a mate. Not being able to decipher what they were speaking of he now stood just a few steps away from the living room frozen imagining the worst.
"I can smell you Jungkook, you ready to go?" His father's voice echoed through the otherwise silent home.
Jungkook walked into the living room, "yes, dad."
Jungkook's POV
The car ride was quiet even with my parents both sitting up front and me sitting in the back seat, i was terrified. What if my dad has a business suitor for me? I have Tae. Why didn't he pick Namjoon for this? He's more eloquent than i could ever be or Hoseok? He's such a social butterfly. I have Tae. I repeated to myself.
I'll go along with this for the moment to avoid upsetting him, but i am going to defy him for Taehyung even if it means i get disowned. I love my father and my mother but Tae is my mate, my new home.
My mind was running wild with ways I would let my father know about Taehyung, so he could stop with this foolishness of a business mate. I don't care how much money is at stake, or what contracts are on the line. My mate comes first.
I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings until i noticed a large gated home, it seemed familiar for some reason like i had been here before, but still not quite clicking in my head.
As we headed down the driveway the same memory was trying to scratch its to the surface but just couldn't quite reach the top. I began to panic, have i been here before with someone? Maybe a one night stand i don't remember?
My father parked the car near some rose bushes, "we're here, be mindful and friendly." My father spoke through a small grin. It seemed so dark in this very moment like i was a piece of meat to sell and he was the butcher that smiles at all his clients.
I stood at the doorway with my parents as they rang the doorbell. I know i've been here before. I walked someone up these steps, but it was dark that day the daylight doesn't cast the same shadows the moon does.
An older man opened the door he looked kind, he looked familiar i've seen those eyes before. One monolid and the other a double lid, his eyes look like Taehy-
"Jungkook?" I heard the same sweet deep voice i'm infatuated with.
I saw my mate poke his head out from behind the man that had originally greeted us at the door. "What are you doing here?" Tae asked.
"Please come inside, have a seat." The older man cut in, guiding my parents and myself into their gorgeous contemporary home. Their living room had a high ceiling and glass windows from the celing to the floor that allowed a view straight into the woods behind their home.
"Thank you, long time no see old friend." My father greeted. They huffed and cackled as they sat down and reminisced about their past, me and Tae sat across from each other sharing sweet glances and soft smiles, i hadn't seen him in just a night but God did i miss him.
"So what's all this about?" Tae spoke up interrupting their laughter, his father looking fondly at my mate.
"Well Tae, I've known Mr. Jeon since college days, we were very good friends, helped each other whenever we were in need. He sometimes gave me food off of his plate and i always did the same for him, he was as close as i ever got to a brother. When you broke the news to me about a Jeon being your mate i was delighted. I filled Jungkook's parents in on your confession from yesterday, and i wanted to make sure that the boy accepts you as his mate and that his parents do as well." Mr. Kim noted.
"Of course I do, he's my home now. I'd do anything for him." I abruptly responded my eyes focused on the beautiful boy sitting in front of me, i could feel my face heating up at my compulsive reply now that both of our parents turned their attention to me and smiled.
My father looked proud, he was sitting up straight and smiling wide. "That's my boy." He said as he patted my back, "And you don't have to worry about us accepting your boy as his mate Mr. Kim, we're a family now after all. Matter of fact I was just telling my wife this morning that we had family business to attend with our son's mate and his parents."
"Now that you mention it Jungkook, i do need to ask something of you", Mr. Kim's face suddenly grew a little serious but happiness was still evident. "Tae is an omega in an alpha school, it would ease my troubled heart to hear from you that you will protect Taehyung ,with Yoongi also helping, if any students may discover he is an omega."
"With my life sir." I replied without hesitating for even a second. My father once again patting my back proud at his son's words. Whenever my old man would hold our mother in his arms in front of us, he continously reminded us that our mates sha'll be kept safe at all costs. They are the reason our hearts bleed red, and as true alphas it is in our dna to protect them with our lives.
Mr. Kim nodded in acknowledgement and took my hand for a firm hand shake, "thank you son." The words almost foreign as they met my eardrums, but i felt a great sense of pride. My omega's father already considers me his son.
Both of our mothers were giggling, Tae stood up and came to sit beside me, he took my hands in his and looked me in the eyes. His smile said it all "my alpha" he beamed. All of us in the room cooed at Tae's soft words, my chest almost bursting as he rested his head on my shoulder in front of what was now my new family.
This kind of happiness is one that i want to hold on to for the rest of my living days.
